Looks like three generations of welfare is the natural limit, then it eats itself. Sort of like abortion, a self solving problem. Only a matter of time.
Before BJ Clinton’s welfare reform, some of these “generations” were 15 years apart, with 35 year-old “grandmothers” easily able to pass as their grandchildren’s “mother”. Welfare reform drastically slowed the birthrate, and consequently Hispanics passed blacks in population 10 years earlier than anticipated (by 2000 instead of 2010 as projected). The multi-generational government dependency hasn’t slowed, though the number of children per welfare queen has dropped. Rather than put up one queen in a hive with five offspring by three mates, we now put up the queen with one or two offspring and continue payments in the form of free college/job training and the like. Nothing has changed the outright dependency on government handouts in the hood; it isn’t as though some entrepreneurial spirit, desire to be self-sufficient, or re-birth of capitalism has taken place.
