Liberals really are a single-minded lot: In their view, the only possible explanation for a person hoping that Barack Obama loses his next election is racism. All things political are analyzed through a filter of skin color, putting today's left directly at odds with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream that his children "will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

Conservatives might argue that leftists are hypocritical on this score, that they are judging Obama by his skin color and judging his critics by what they perceive to be the content of our characters -- based on nothing but our opposition to a far-left president who happens to be black.

But what they are demonstrating is not hypocrisy, it is projection. Liberals assume that since race is so important to them, it must be equally important to the rest of us, that it must, if you'll pardon the pun, color our every political thought. This is of course particularly true of the liberal elite who suffer deeply from what Hayek termed the "fatal conceit," a symptom of which is believing that all intelligent people must think as "Progressives" do -- and that all people not intelligent enough to think as they do are suited to be ruled by them.

The moral yardstick for the American left is now "the color of your character."

To liberals, when it comes to non-leftist critics of Barack Obama, the fact that many of us are not black means little less than that we wish the South had won the Civil War.

But when the subject is Barack Obama, the fact that his skin is black (despite his mother having been white) trumps all;....

Obama has certainly turned me into a racist and I don’t feel guilty at all! The blacks stick by him BECAUSE he is black but that is not considered racism. They can all go to a hot place! After voting for Allen Keyes twice (would do it again) I have been shown the error of my ways and now realize, just like with muslimes, where there is ANY group bent on your destruction it is NOT racist to distrust and despise them. It is known as common sense.

Oh yes, just like walking into a pen of snakes, there are some who mean you no harm but it is very WISE to guard yourself from ALL of them until you can figure out who the harmless ones are and who are those with nothing to contribute but want to suck the life blood out of you.

Thank obama, holder, sharpton, jackson, van jones.... for illuminating the, “get-even-with-them” agenda of the “Klan With A Tan” otherwise known as holder’s people. Just like most major cities run by the KWAT we can see our future with a federal government run by those attempting to get even with us for things done 200+ years ago. Imagine the entire USA looking like Detroit after the KWAT gets even with the rest of us.

Walter Williams, Keyes, H. Cain..... are not black-Americans in my book but REAL Americans. The others are the real reason for the “N” word.

And if you look how MSNBC has changed the last 5 year they are replacing their hosts with non-white (or gay white) victim activists like Sharpton, Perry, Maddow and Bashir who trot out an endless line of victims : blacks, Hispanics, gays, women, etc to call personal freedom slavery and vice versa.

I'll be honest, I think the same way now. It is a shame really. My boss and I were talking one time and he told me that Obama has set back race relations to 1970 if not farther than that. I know when Obama was elected, I saw 70 years of anger in my mother's eyes and yes, I felt the anger in myself. What make it that way is although we need to judge people as individuals, it is getting real hard to stick to that rule when we see the Blacks act almost like The Borg in Star Trek in their devotion to Obama. I'm afraid we pulled off the scabs to some old wounds here. B-(

I guess I don't know how that is useful to me but I do regularly get the impression that Democrats want to win much more than Republicans do. They have learned how to craft their messages for the masses and stay on point, with rare exceptions screwing it up.

The one battle they seem to have lost is the argument over climate change. I have noticed that.

Venting is not the same as winning, it seems many Republicans cant see the difference. The Republican nominee should be 10 to 30 points ahead of Obama.

Yes, it is such a damn shame. There are many good black people that have to suffer because of the vast majority of punks and neer-do-wells. Half of my ex-military friends are black. My point is that Dems party are being practical pushing this race crap. Why should a poor black waste his time voting for Obama again when he lost his job and house under him?
