This is the Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread Ping List! If you want to be on it, reply to this post or FReepmail me (in case I miss it). If you want to be taken off, simply send me a FReepmail.

An especially lame lineup today…

MTP pre-emted for Tour de France coverage.

Rumors persist that the French-speaking David Gregory is going to be replaced at MTP, due to low ratings.

==

For the other programs, it looks like a holiday line-up. I wouldn’t waste TV electrons to watch Wasserman-Schultz rant and tout everything-Obama-good. Same with McCain and Durbin.

Is this Jindal’s VP audition? He just does not give me a Chrissy Matthews type tingle.

McConnell and McCain are not representative of
staunch conservative principles.

Another week passes without Mr. Romney, the presumptive GOPe
candidate, facing a SINGLE TALK SHOW pushing
CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES.

A real CONSERVATIVE candidate, who cared more for America
than him/herself would be pushing conservative principles
every week - loudly, clearly, repetitively.

F&F runs a clip of Obama touting that 84,000 jobs were created last month, “a step in the right direction”, and that ‘we’ have created 4.4 million jobs in the last 28 months.

==

WOW. 4.4 million jobs.

Except — that that number isn't so impressive, when it is extrapolated:

4.4 million for 28 months = 157,142 new jobs per month or 39,285 new jobs per week.

During about 20 of those months, new weekly jobless claims were in the 450,000 range. In the last few weeks the number has dropped to the 385,000 range.

385,000 new WEEKLY jobless; 39,000 new WEEKLY jobs created. The economy is creating jobs at the rate of 1 for every 10 lost.

[Why does Obama use 'the last 28 months"? He has been in office 42 months.]

==

It is even worse for last month:

June 02 - initial claims - 377,000 revised to 380,000
June 09 - initial claims - 386,000 revised to 389,000
June 16 - initial claims - 387,000 revised to 392,000
June 23 - initial claims - 386,000 ...

Total INITIAL [+revised] claims for June: 1,547,000

1,547,000 initial [+revised] claims for unemployment vs. 80,000 [not 84,000 as Obama claimed] new jobs for the month.

At that rate, it would take over 19 MONTHS just to recover from the June numbers.

F&F runs the clip of Obama saying ‘middle class is an attitude.’

Hmmmm. So, I guess that means ‘poverty is also an attitude.’

I know it’s not your fault, Alas, but have you ever seen a more pathetic lineup?

I just saw Debbie Wasserman Schulze and she is as ugly as ever. She just really started in on Mitt Romney but I left.

I don’t trust our man with the extremely odd name to counter her well.

But we’ll see.

Kudos to Jindal. He isn’t letting the moderator or O’Malley interrupt him. He is basically filibustering his responses.

Romney Complaint of the Day - Romney set up ‘secret’ bank accounts off-shore to hide his wealth and business interests.

[Wonder how many Dems, including those on Capitol Hill and the WH, have off-shore ‘secret’ bank accounts.]

Moderator: Is this the new normal? [Talking about the weak economic growth.

[Media and politicians are trying to convince the rest of us that current things are the ‘new normal’ and we just need to accept low job creation, massive job losses, stagnant economy, etc., for years to come. Expect to hear ‘new normal’ more and more in the coming months.]

Mort Zuckerman is being very tough on Obama and the current economic situation.

George Will was also.

The other panelists are gnashing their teeth at some of Will’s and Zuckerman’s comments.

Why dont republicans ever attack obama and this economy??? I just heard some dips#!t dem governor saying bush had record debt and unemployment. He should have been halted right there with the simple phrase “ The unemployment rate right now, 3 1/2 years into Obama’s reign is higher than it ever was under Bush.”

Let see, Democrat propaganda bots race around the media trash talking the GOP candidates and their agenda. DanZ races around the internet trash talking the GOP and their candidates.

So you do for free what the Democrat party pays people to do.

And then you whine because the political agenda you claim to be for goes no where.

The reason I don’t read here anymore is because very little of the discussion is about the Sunday morning talk-shows - it’s all chit chat between you people - which tells me nothing about the subjects on the talk shows, so I consider it a waste of my time. You asked, and I replied.
