John Boehner: Voters Need Not Love Mitt Romney

The Ohio Republican made the remarks when an unidentified woman asked during a question-and-answer session: “Can you make me love Mitt Romney?”

“No,” Boehner said. “Listen, we’re just politicians. I wasn’t elected to play God. The American people probably aren’t going to fall in love with Mitt Romney. I’ll tell you this: 95 percent of the people that show up to vote in November are going to show up in that voting booth, and they are going to vote for or against Barack Obama. “Mitt Romney has some friends, relatives and fellow Mormons ... some people that are going to vote for him.

But that’s not what this election is about. This election is going to be a referendum on the president’s failed economic policies.

I will stand up against all progressive jerks like mitt, boehner and mcconman. You can try to brow beat those of us that refuse to support the gop/e and their progressive bull again. I understand it... I used to agree with everything that you said. I can dig deep enough and show you where I convinced many FReepers to vote for mccain and I regret every single time that I did it. mccain is how the new gop/e runs elections. Pappa Bush and GW both are progressives... there really isn't any question with their records. Not bad men but progressive men. They both won running as Reagan... I even have a DVD recorded of a gore/Bush debate where GW pledges to follow in Reagan's footsteps. As soon as the gop/e turned from Reagan as their election model and became more of the rockefeller, blue blood, north east progressive model of the past... they started losing elections again... just like before.

I don't have enough time to waste another 4 years on waiting for the gop to change... I have been active with the party for almost 40 years and the only time that the gop really represented me was during the two Reagan administrations... and I worked for his campaign here in my home State twice.

This election is extremely important... but so was Bush vs gore (I went to Florida and fought on the front lines) and Bush vs kerry. I heard "This is the most important election of our lifetimes" during both of those elections... right here on FR... on Sean Hannity's show and on Fox News every night. The truth is that we are locked in a battle with communists and other subversive, anti American Exceptionalism and anti Societal Norms factions. Every election from here on out will be the most important election of our lifetimes. So I ask... if not now... when?

Nothing is going to change unless Conservatives find a way to control the party and control the education of America on what Conservatism actually is. When Reagan did it... a nation followed because they understood what Conservatism looked like and knew in their hearts that they had always been Conservative.

I poured the down payment on a new truck into each of those campaigns... and I worked hard for the party. I have never received even the courtesy of "thank you". I receive calls for donations from every front that the republicans can think of creating... I receive requests for answering questionnaires along with requesting money... but I have actually seen video of some of those polls just going into the can without being read... grab the check and dump the paper.

The dims listen to their base... they preach what their foundational members want implemented. They are relentless in the pursuit of their agenda. They have almost destroyed this Republic through incrementalism... and they could not have done it without the progressive wing of the compromise chorus of the gop/e. The left will shut down government, leave the State and blame every bit of it on the republicans... and the republicans pull a mitt romney and operate under Marcus of Queensbury Rules.

This election should be a slam-dunk... but it is not... and it is not my fault or the fault of those like me that have come to understand that if we continue to go along with the gop/e and wait for them to let a few Conservative crumbs fall from their table... we will grow old and die without ever eating a meal. If we had stopped the progressives when the party wanted GHW Bush to run... we might have avoided obama all together. If GW Bush had left amnesty alone, never worked with kennedy on NCLB and not implemented drugs for Seniors... but what is... is. GHW Bush lied to America when he claimed that he would continue the hard work that Reagan had started. He promised that he had learned that he had been wrong about voo doo economics and that he would continue to implement Reagan's agenda. He also pledged, "Read my lips... NO NEW TAXES". He lied to us and it cost him the election and he lost to another slimeball tyrant... bill clinton. mitt is a far worse liar than GHW Bush.

Unless we stand up against the progressives that completely control the party, we will never get any control of our governance.

As far as voting for an abortion loving progressive who learned his love of abortion as a child from his mother (one of the video links below has mitt in his own skin explaining this point), I refuse to do it and for absolute reasons. I look to the Bible for guidance from GOD and no further than the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence for legal guidance. The following sentence was so important... so overwhelmingly intertwined with what the Founders at the time were trying to do... that these were the very first words written to establish and ordain the republic and secure our Freedom and Liberty from a tyrannical king and is power brokers.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are LIFE, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”.

mitt romney could probably convince some of us to vote for him but he would have to sign a Contract with America that is binding and legal and would hold his feet to the fire when it comes to abortion, spending, deficits, taxes, immigration, gun rights (NO ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN) and every other major issue of our time. I have not seen one scintilla of effort from mitt romney or his machine that would even make me think that they even care the least little bit about the vote of the right wing... those like myself. Why is that you ask?

Like a said before, I understand your reasoning and I guess it is all that you have left... you can't promote mitt on his own face value and worthiness because no one but mitt knows what that truly is. The above videos prove what I say is fact. All that you have stated would be correct... but only if we could believe what mitt says today. We cannot because we KNOW with certainty that he flip flops on EVERY issue and he lies easily... and so does obama... and we cannot give a total liar our faith.

We may get a miracle in Tampa... there are rules and procedures that can be used and there are people working hard right now to implement them. There are good men and women out there... Scott Walker and others... maybe someone will answer the call... maybe not. It may fail but we are going to try. If we fail... mitt will most likely lose and the press is rife with articles right now stating this very same fact. The polling data... even from Rasmussen looks bad. Even if they are dead even... look around... there is a reason that this election is rubber band tight... and it isn't because obama is a great president. He happens to be the worst president this republic has ever endured. No, America doesn't trust mitt... and they don't like mitt... and boehner himself plead with us to vote for mitt even if we don't like him. Have you ever heard of the highest elected republican say something like that about the gop's presumptive nominee? I have not. mitt is just that bad.

Really. How about Obama’s latest Executive order that bypasses Congress:”Executive Order — Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions”. He now has authority to take command of all communications during an emergency which by the way, he can define what that emergency is.

Bush did the same thing btw. so did clinton. So did Clinton as I recall. This continuance of governance thing has a long history and it’s easier said than done. I’m not losing any sleep over it and I still don’t care who wins the presidential election.

By the way, do you remember what O said about needing a civilian army as big and well equipped as our regular army? I wonder where that is coming together?

BTW, where is O’s civilian army? How would he create such an Army with a house that would never pay for it and a senate that would never authorize it?

I won’t even give him credit for Fast and Furious. I honestly don’t think he’s that smart. I think F&F is the product of whoever is pulling his strings, and he carries out orders. He’ no more than a robot.

And you don't see evil when it stares you in the face - you give it a pass instead.

So one needs 'smarts' to do wrong? Amazing ! Being EVIL is all that is needed! Nice try at giving him a pass - but they all share in the evilness equally and will reap what they sowed MORE than they sowed, later than they sowed. Eternity is endless. Evilness is a way of life, not an event.
