Kevin Madden, a Republican communications expert with long ties to Mitt Romney, will become a more frequent and visible spokesman for the presidential campaign, a source close to the decision said on Friday.
The increased responsibilities for Mr. Madden came in the wake of criticism from nervous Republicans about Mr. Romneys campaign team. The Wall Street Journal said in an editorial that the campaign looks confused in addition to being politically dumb.

Anyone else notice how Romney’s advisors from Mass and NY only go nuclear on conservatives while playing nice with liberals and their lackeys in the media?
Who is the idiot overpaid advisor telling Romney to be soft on illegal immigration/Fast&Furious? Is it Eric Fehrnstrom, Kevin Madden, or some other RINO PR expert? How do we get rid of these RINOs that infest Republican leadership?
Thanks. I didn’t know some of those - the man is truly deranged being in the GOP campaign and Santorum is an enabler of evil during this election and in ‘08 saying mitt is a conservative. Both con man working together for themselves and NOT America.
There should be at least 5 huge signs like that made up for the convention. Kudos to the conservative who took the time to create it.
Then, blame those who voted for mitt in the primaries. Liberalism couldn’t infest the GOP w/o supporters of it.
The others are just advisers. Unless a candidate was retarded, no adviser could convince him to believe or say something that was contrary to his own beliefs.
And the media went very soft on mitt during the debates - it was obnoxious to watch how blatant they were.
Newt is truly an American hero/Patriot for standing FOR America - with every evil against him! And Sarah, also. Their reward is for eternity.
FUMR - hater of America, of Patriots, of our constitution, of clean living/traditional marriage, of new Americans (knock them off at $50 a pop). Maybe he enjoy the ‘up’ in his elevatored mansion, it’s only for a blip on the screen compared to eternity but in the meantime, he’s reigning whoever he can to bring down to his level through fear.

You are responsible for what you know and what you refuse to know. And being unteachable is no way to go through life - those are the easily deceived that con men prey on.
Bostonians are incredibly provincial.
altura has something against Jim and FReepers in general so yes, she probably hates Republican voting hillbillies also.
Maybe we don't need your kind around here either!
My first thought is to agree...however...she is always good for a laugh...albeit at her own expense. So even though she has professed a hatred for FR and called its owner insane, I do hope she stays. :-)
What's to defend? Palin's sitting on the sideline raking in the dough. She's not a politician anymore - she's a talker.
I have never seen grander hand waving in my life.
You have to get out more.
I am trying so hard to hold my nose and accept this guy Mitt as the necessary medicine we’ve gotta swallow to save the country. I’m really trying. I’m not gonna post how much of a mistake that we made, because we’re kinda stuck this close to the convention.
But come on, Mitt! Is there anyone in your campaign that has a clue about working with the base for the goal of defeating Obama?
Or is it more important to pin an eventual defeat on Sarah and the TEA Party?
(Rhetorical question)
You have to ask? This guy has given the Tea Party an upturned middle finger since he declared for President.
He's not one of us. He doesn't think like us. He sure didn't run his state like we would have tried to do. And yet he just expects us to be his, as another poster called us, "Stepford Freepers", because he's got the "R".
Big deal.
LOL Or it will be a blow out in our favor ... Like 1980. In that event, there will be coattails.
My raccoons R laffing @ U.
