While the individual mandate tax gets most of the attention, the ObamaCare law actually contains 20 new or higher taxes on the American people. These taxes are gradually phased in over the years 2010 (with its 10 percent tanning tax) to 2018 (when the tax on comprehensive health insurance plans kicks in.)
Six months from now, in January 2013, five major ObamaCare taxes will come into force:
1. The ObamaCare Medical Device Manufacturing Tax
(snip)
2. The ObamaCare High Medical Bills Tax
(snip)
3. The ObamaCare Flexible Spending Account Cap
(snip)
4. The ObamaCare Surtax on Investment Income
(snip)
5. The ObamaCare Medicare Payroll Tax increase
(snip)
As you can understand, there is a reason why the authors of ObamaCare wrote the law in such a way that the most brutal tax increases take effect conveniently after the 2012 election. Its the same reason President Obama, congressional Democrats, and the mainstream media conveniently neglect to mention these taxes and prefer that you simply move on after the Supreme Court ruling.

Do most transactions by cash. Or like my friend did, get another citizenship from a 3rd world Asian country where keeping records requires a typewriter. One of my Asian buds is a school janitor here but when he comes back to the RP, is a producer of a highly popular TV game show and his tax returns there, his name is off by 2 letters.
Bump!
Exactly! It is imperative for all of us to show up at the polls in mega numbers!
Will he send one to my house?
Conservatives were shown to be impotent again when it comes to uniting around one candidate. That is why Mitt beat them all.
He didn’t even have to divide the conservatives to conquer since they were more concerned about criticizing all the “imperfect” candidates from the Right.
BS.
They set Mitt up as the candidate when McCain’s people decided not to compete against Obama. I’m sure you remember when they decided it was more important to tear Palin down than to tell the truth about Obama.
Romney started by sending his minions out to attack Palin while she was the VP candidate. This election cycle, every single conservative candidate was targeted. Or they had a self destruct mechanism or some experienced advisor they trusted in their campaign sabotaged them. The GOP-e holds all the experienced positions and likes to pretend that if a candidate isn’t listening to them, or doesn’t have them on staff, the candidate is not “serious.” Some candidates thought they could be the GOP-e acceptable Tea Party candidate. They forgot listening to snakes never turns out well and neither does trying to serve two masters.
Things have not changed. Romney and the GOP-e don’t run against fellow socialists like Obama. They only use their time, money, effort and every lie they can pull out of their nether parts to attack conservatives and Mitt did that plenty this election cycle.
Most of us would have stood behind Palin one hundred percent. If the party including the GOP-e really wanted to win, that is what they would have done. If Mitt had told his dogs in the media to keep their mouths shut, most of the trash written about Palin would never have happened. With Palin, there would not have been a clearer contrast with Obama. But Mitt could not have a real conservative standing in his way. Since Mitt didn’t think it necessary to support the conservative VP candidate, I don’t feel it necessary to support that socialist creep Romney now.
I can only pray for the naive, delusional people on this post who will not join forces and vote FOR Romney, our only option. They fail to understand, they are blinded by pipe dreams, they don’t seem to notice that the deck chairs on the USS America are swirling in water, as the ship begins to sink in the abyss. These people are delusional AND blind to the reality of what we are facing. It will be up to us, We The People and patriots all, to turn out in mega numbers at the polls and place our vote for the option that is Romney. May those who refuse to help save this country come to their senses in time.
May those who refuse to help save this country come to their senses in time.

It is always “they” that does the things not popular around here with some. Mostly this “they” is just a paranoid fantasy to explain the Right’s complete inability to break out of the 25-30% range of support which it typically attracts.
Palin could have been the nominee but the personal price to her family would have been too high for her to accept. Then after Perry shot himself in the foot repeatedly there was NO conservative capable of beating Romney. Outside of a small group he has never been terribly popular but has been a competent politician capable of winning elections and build support for other Republicans. For some really weird reason (which you may figure out someday) a politician capable of winning almost always beats those who are NOT. No “they” need apply.
Apparently you also labor under some unrealistic view that a candidate in the primary campaigns against his opponent in the General election. Have you forgotten that even Reagan had to win primaries and he had to go after his opponents IN THE PRIMARY first? Nor was there any need for Romney to lie about his opponents, all had sufficient weaknesses, misstatements, baggage and blunders to lose without much help from Mitt.
And, speaking of BS, any claim that MR spent the McCain campaign (or any other time) attacking Sarah is sheer and total BS.
Your fantasy extends to the heights with the idea that Palin would have been able to campaign without senseless attacks on her from the Right. We saw it here before she definitively ruled out running just as we saw it with all the others.
All except the most unrealistic candidate, Cain, were called “liberals”, “socialists” etc., the same kind of crap you are spreading about MR.
And claiming that Romney has control of the media is hilariously hysterical. Are you from DU? That statement would find near-unanimous agreement over there.

The question I have is why is Romney rasing more money then Obama, who is now begging for money? The one who raises more money wins the general.
On this I agree with you. But the reason the personal price to her family would have been too high has a name. It is Mitt Romney. He and his flying monkeys made sure that would be the case and they started the trashing of Palin and her family the minute Palin became the VP nominee. (The job he so desperately wanted.)
"Outside of a small group he has never been terribly popular but has been a competent politician capable of winning elections and build support for other Republicans."
As for being a competent politician, he has only won one election, governor of Massachusetts. But he lost his run for the senate before that and he knew he would lose if he ran for a second term in Massachusetts. He had already destroyed the republican party in that state. So he had no base to run on. There were three republican governors immediately before him. After him, who know how long it will be or if the republicans will ever recover from his lying to republicans and pandering to the socialists.
Romney builds support by passing out cash and influence, the same old fashioned way the liberal democrats have been doing it for years. So you believe the fact that he can behave like a liberal democrat is supposed to impress conservatives? LOL!
"Apparently you also labor under some unrealistic view that a candidate in the primary campaigns against his opponent in the General election. Have you forgotten that even Reagan had to win primaries and he had to go after his opponents IN THE PRIMARY first?"
Hey guess what? Reagan knew how to run against both. How? By having conservative principles. You knew exactly where Reagan stood against both the primary opponents and the general election opponents. He didn't have to fool people into thinking he was waiting for the convention to run against Jimmy Carter. There was no thought of talk about him duplicating anything Carter did. Not so with Mitt. With both sides of his mouth, he does almost nothing to contrast himself with the general election candidate. Even though he has made it through the primaries.
"And, speaking of BS, any claim that MR spent the McCain campaign (or any other time) attacking Sarah is sheer and total BS."
So you don't remember the RINOs attack against Palin? Where were you then and where have you been hiding lately? From day one, they went after her. If that self centered socialist had been more interested in conservatives winning, he could called off his flying monkey attacks. But no he wanted to run in 2012, so he did two things. He convinced the RINOs that RINO McCain's campaign did not need to push to win and that Palin wasn't allowed to run the race for him. If that meant they had to do all they could to destroy her and her family, they tried it. McCain had to lose if Romney was to have any chance to ever become president. If McCain had won, it would have been at least 12 years until he would have another chance (4 years of McCain and 8 years of Palin). Romney could not have that, he would have been getting too old to run.
"Your fantasy extends to the heights with the idea that Palin would have been able to campaign without senseless attacks on her from the Right. We saw it here before she definitively ruled out running just as we saw it with all the others."
I don't know that there were many senseless attacks from the right. There were a few, but they were almost silent during the 2008 election. Most of the people claiming to be on the right who have attacked Palin are either RINOs who claim to be conservatives just like Mitt does or people who similar to Ann Coulter, worship the ground Mitt walks on.
It was so obvious. Whenever Palin was attacked by anyone on the left, with every filthy lie they imagined, there was dead silence from the elites, RINOs and establishment in the GOP that Romney happens to keep in his pocket. How can I say that they were in his pocket? Even before one primary had occurred, all we heard from the GOP-E was that we had to get behind Mitt now because he was the only candidate who could win. Even when he wasn't leading when he wasn't even in second place. They "the GOP-e, elites, establishment, RINOs and other republican socialists" kept up that mantra throughout the primaries.
"Nor was there any need for Romney to lie about his opponents, all had sufficient weaknesses, misstatements, baggage and blunders to lose without much help from Mitt."
If Romney's mouth is moving there is a lie coming out of it somewhere. Not only did he lie but rules were changed and outcomes were fixed to favor him.
Obviously you don't' live in Florida. Every ten minutes another TV ad lie out of Mitt's filthy "I approve of this message," mouth or one of his huge PACs spewing lies and misrepresentations. Here in Florida, when Mitt's opponents wanted to get air time to refute his lies, some stations refused. You many wonder why? But as a Florida resident, I know the number of RINOs in this state. Many of them call themselves conservatives. We have a couple of very famous ones such as Charlie Crist. Just like Romney, he called himself a conservative for many years. But we all know better now. Don't we.
As for dreaming up lies, anyone who claims that Romney is not a socialist is either a liar, delusional or deceived. Mitt is the father and originator of Obamacare, the father of gay marriage in the United States, anti-gun, anti-family, anti-Boy Scouts, lover of ENDA, lover of gay adoption, lover gays in the military and lover of wanting gays as Boy Scout leaders, lover of cap and trade, giving free cars and auto insurance to welfare recipients, lover of taxation (that he names fees), lover and expander of big government and its having power over "we the people," willing to abrogate our 2nd Amendment rights to keep and bear arms, trashing conservatives, including Ronald Reagan even today. This is the man who named two gays as parents of the year in Massachusetts, appointed flaming liberals to the courts every chance he got, forced church organizations to set up adoptions for gays or leave the state, showed no respect for the freedom of religion in Mass or for anything or anyone conservative for that matter.
Everything Obama has attempted to do nationally, Romney has already accomplished in Massachusetts. If he had a (D) next to his name, the democrats would worship him as the most accomplished leader in their democratic party. No one else could touch him with all his liberal accomplishments. But you can't see he's a socialist because the big fat (R) next to his name has blinded you.
The only one claiming Romney controls the all media is you. He cant control what he cant lie or buy. Did the Corleones control all the media? No, like Romney, they only controlled the ones theyd bought.
He is not giving the other 4% any reason to vote for him. This 4% is comprised of undecided voters... and in this election... mitt is actually going to have to convince all of these voters to vote for him and/or some of the 4% of the base that refuses to accept him... and like I said... mitt could very well lose this thing. Not only am I saying this but the likes of Barrone and Krauthammer have said much the same. There were three media articles on this subject in the last two days. Major donors to mitt's campaign were quoted in the Washington Post Friday and they were complaining about mitt's awful performance and his overbearing timidity in engaging obama directly.
That is the truth and the truth is all that I am interested in. We must know the truth to make a rational decisions on how to try and salvage this election. If mitt cannot convince voters like myself... he needs to either find some way to lock his pledged governing agenda in with some binding contract with conservatives or he is going to lose. His word means less than nothing. I can post multiple video links of mitt in his own skin... confirming as to why the man cannot be trusted on his word.
If mitt does not step up and go Patton on obama... if he does not start to fight to win this thing and get rid of the trash staff that he has surrounded himself with... then we must try everything available to us via the party rules to purge mitt and replace him. In can be done because it must be done... or we all lose.
The Convention has not been held yet and the gop does not have a nominee yet and there are procedures that are rarely used, that will allow for the drafting of a candidate from the floor. There are groups working on a first round abstention campaign and it is growing in support.
LLS
Yet Obama “begs” that says something to mean he is in trouble.
Two awful candidates two and awful men battle for the presidency. This election should not even be a contest... there is a direct reason that it is. mitt romney. Anyway... have a great Saturday night. They can’t steal the little things from us... and they can’t tax them either!

Obamacare now invalid because tax bills must originate in House
Kevin Kervick
Manchester Independent Examiner
“The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) may now be invalid because the Supreme Court ruled that it relies on a tax for implementation.
According to the United States Constitution, all tax bills must originate in the House of Representatives. This law originated in the Senate, because at the time the Democrats were selling it as a purchase - not a tax. Since the Supreme Court has ruled that the law is indeed based on a tax increase, it would have had to be initiated as a bill in the House of Representatives.
Consequently, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Law is unconstitutional on a different criteria than the ones considered by the Supreme Court in this latest landmark decision. By calling the individual mandate unconstitutional but allowing the law as a federal program to be funded by new taxes, Justice Roberts essentially nullified the law.”
Are there any numbers on how the Medicare tax will increase? I had read somewhere that in 2013 it would be $113 per person per month. In 2014 the number was $247 per person per month.
I would like to verify these numbers.
That 247 number is a myth.
The figures aren’t set until the year before.
