Picked some up today actually......it was cheaper than critical defense.

I agree 47.5 gr of 4064 and a WLR primer in a WW case Work great out out of an o 03A3 and an M1. YMMV!

Try the Federal Gold Medal match ammo, absolutely superb acccuracy, and the brass is match grade for reloading. Also try a neck sizer die and keep your brass separated by weapon when you do.

“190’s if you want to winnow them out from afar.”

I shoot those too out of a converted 1000Yd Wimbledon match rifle in 30-06 Ackley improved set up for long range sniper work, scope and all. I am too old to do those 1000yd targets with iron sights but I haven't forgotten how its done.

I have been doing that for about 40 years. I have weapons that have never had a factory round through through the barrel. I have more worn out barrels than most people have invested in rifles. :-). at one time I had 147 rifles alone and I wasn’t a dealer.:-(

Sierra is careful to put "not recommended for hunting" on their boxes of match bullets, however even their .224" 69 grain Match King has a record of well over 90% one-shot stops in real-world police shootings. Barring body armor, they're nasty anti-personnel rounds.

I've fired the 69 through layers of wet paper, and it makes a huge wound cavity. I should not like to experience being smitten with one.

I’ve always preferred the M193 load in our ARs and M16.The bullet usually breaks up on impact,at least at close range. For serious zombie kills,I’ll use my Remington 700 tactical in .308 or my HK91 if they start getting too close.

I bought a load of the Hornady 55 grain FMJ a few years ago, and yes, fired through test media, they penetrate a few inches, and then yaw and fragment violently. I should not like to be smitten with one of them at close range, either.

It seems our troops have the most problems with the M855 out of an M4 14" barrel. They tend to drill through and make pencil holes sometimes. The FMJ need higher velocity to upset and do damage, more like the A1 with its 20" barrel length. The closer to 3000+ fps at impact, the better. Can't get rifle performance from a long pistol barrel.

Since the troopers like compact rifles so much, I wish they'd come up with an ambidextrous bullpup design for them, much like the Kel-Tec MFB. Then, they could have a 24" barrel, lightweight and compact, and all the velocity they need.

Tried loading the M193 bullet in a .22-250.At 3650fps the things just come apart on impact. Also found that they would penetrate almost 1/2 inch of steel.Blew 3/8 inch holes in old John Deere plow shares, and that's some pretty tough and resilient steel.

Although this one is not available to the US public, it is by far the best ANTI-ZOMBIE GUN on the planet.

Uses any kind of 3" 12 gauge round (buckshot, slugs, rubber, even Hornady Zombie 12 ga.), and it fires these :

There are three members of the FRAG-12 munition family: the FRAG-12 High Explosive (HE), FRAG-12 High Explosive Fragmenting Antipersonnel (HEFA, or HE-FA), and FRAG-12 High Explosive Armor-Piercing (HEAP, or HE-AP).

Made of 12 different kinds of stainless steel, it needs little to no maintenance. You can leave it in a river for two months, pull it out and instantly fire it.

300 Rounds per minute FULL AUTO with shells, 120 RPM for the FRAG-12.

ALMOST NO RECOIL, resulting in HIGHLY IMPROVED ACCURACY. Can be held with one hand during full auto fire.

NOTHING stands in it's way.

Better yet, get two, with the remote control option. The HAMMER DEATH CANNON (I kid you not).
