I'm sorry - I just can't believe that political pressure could possibly be severe enough to have forced Roberts to change his vote like this.

We're told that the "Conservatives" on the Court spent months trying to get him to come back to his original position.

He's a Supreme Court Chief Justice. The Constitution takes care of him for the rest of his life.

In my opinion, the pressure had to be much much stronger. I suspect some deep, dark personal issue that the liberals knew about and Roberts didn't want revealed.

Some secret that would remove him from his position.

"Some secret that would remove him from his position."

I'm conviced that he's completely compromised, and has been at least since he "flubbed" the swearing in of a man who to this day has not demonstrably qualified for the office he enjoys, and had to "re-do" the ceremony behind closed doors.

A coup has occurred.

Either that, or he just voted his conscience, and we’re having a hard time accepting it.

Well, since he supposedly leans right its possible he took extra condiments at the Chic fil a?

However had he been a pro-regressive the situation, as most here are quite aware, would be quite different. It could be common knowledge he smoked crack and had relations with a donkeys. Had he been a prog he would probably get Time’s Man of the Year award.

I’m only half joking.
Consider Holder getting away with murder while Nixon was forced out of office over a bouched low level break in.

The people who beg for fairness and equality are not very well, fair or equitable.

The libs probably threatened to out him. He did have a record of doing a lot of Pro Bono work for queer activist groups.

Just the charge against him that he was queer would make a peacock that worried how other people percieved him would make roberts go all wobbly.

Expect a lot more leftist decisions from this jackass. Once the hooks are into him, he's not going to be let go.

It would be great if it could be proved that he was being blackmailed. His decision would be thrown out and we would get a do over.
