Citing a nationwide voter suppression movement, and standing in front of a statue of Abraham Lincoln, a phalanx of Hudson County Democrats appeared in Jersey City today to kick-off the groups summer voter-registration drive.
HCDO Chair Mark Smith called this an important time for Democrats, adding that he wants the countys Democratic turnout in November to reach 55 percent. Turnout now is in the mid-30s, Smith said.
Its important to get our vote totals up, said Smith, the Bayonne mayor. Ocean County just dictated the last gubernatorial election
I want (Obama) to walk out of Hudson County with a lot of votes in his pocket.

Smith will be under indictment within a year, typical sleezebag.
Ha! Hudson County (NJ) Democrats. Outside of Cook — or is that Crook? — County (IL) Democrats, I doubt you could find a more crooked bunch anywhere. They’ve perfected the notion of a “criminal enterprise”!
Conservatives and conservatism need to make profound, serious political inroads within all U.S. cities, or else U.S. conservatism will die. The left continues to do all that they can do towards abolishing the electoral college, and if the electoral college vanishes, then it will be all of the U.S. cities that will determine all future POTUS candidates!
I’m sure the late Congressman Donald M. Payne, Sr. will be casting his ballot for his son to replace him in Congress.
What I’d like to see is a large Democrat voter drive in Camden. We should advertise that anyone who goes to vote in Camden will receive two packs of cigarettes from Congressman Andrews’s campaign. With enough publicity, we could empty out a goodly portion of Philly, where the going rate for a vote is a single pack of cigarettes, and thus defeat Casey and Obama in PA (plus have Andrews end up with a black eye or two when he doesn’t cough up the cigarettes).
Too bad we don’t have a Black Ops squad to have some fun with our evil opponents.
Other than the guy who recruited Alvin Greene to run in SC. : )
