GRAND RAPIDS, MI Gov. Rick Snyder vetoed election reform bills that sparked angry protests and cries of voter suppression during committee hearings.
Snyder, in one day doubling the number of bills vetoed during his tenure, nixed bills that aimed to prevent voting fraud by requiring a voter to reaffirm U.S. citizenship before receiving a ballot and requiring photo ID when picking up an absentee ballot from a city office.
He also rejected a bill that would have required training for people, companies and organizations participating in voter registration drives.
Snyder in a release said he appreciates the issue of ensuring voters are eligible and U.S. citizens, but believes the bills would have created voter confusion among absentee voters.

We have an ID law in Michigan but apparently aliens get an exemption.
Another A$$hole self serving Rino, sorry redundant statement.
“Id rather just go up to Lansing and put a boot up his albino ass.”

You would probably have to stand in line.
If Mexico can do it, so should we.”

That's different, The Mexican government used to be the most corrupt in the Northern hemisphere when the PRI was in charge years ago. They have since lost the title to their Northern neighbors, the USA (us).
Does the legislatur have enough votes to override the veto?
Dick Michigan is at it again. I couldn’t vote for him. I voted for Cox and then voted for the libertarian candidate in the general since I knew Snyder was going to win anyway.
Ruth Johnson I voted for enthusiastically.
I don’t know where Ruth Johnson stands on other political issues but if she were half as good a governor as she is secretary, she’ll have my vote.
The tough turd is actively encouraging vote fraud as long as it benefits those he wants it to benefit. After all, he’s the piece of crap who complained of Santorum’s dirty tricks of encouraging union members to vote for him but says he doesn’t want closed primaries. Why would he? Unions voted for him by a wide margin in the primary.
I know what he’s looking at. He sees all those resident aliens in college and holding H1B visas. They’re non citizens who can legally have driver’s licenses but he doesn’t want them proving citizenship when they illegally vote.
[sighs]
believes the bills would have created voter confusion among absentee voters.

How can you be confused about whether or not you are an American citizen ???
I fail to see how it would cause confusion. The poll worker notices that you haven’t checked the box and stops the non citizen from voting.
I’m still trying to figure out if resident alien drivers licenses say that they aren’t a citizen. We already show an ID but if it doesn’t say resident alien there’s nothing to stop them from voting.
Thee was a resident alien who got in trouble for voting a couple yeas ago. He said they asked if he wanted to register when he got his drive’s license.
