You pompous ass!!!
How can you defend America if opposition to Romney leaves only Obama!!!????
So how much is he paying you!?
No, seriously? How much?
This truly is a relevant question, at least for Diogenesis, as I have asked him a very similar question before, with again, no response (as here).
I asked you before, Diogenesis, if "the country can't survive 4 years of Romney, and we certainly can't survive 4 more years of Obama, then I guess we're screwed right? I mean what's the end game here?" And you didn't respond to me, just as you haven't responded to AB's question of a similar nature here.
Eventually, on the thread I asked you that question, Black Elk chimed in to post in response to my question to you, "RESISTANCE!!! is the end game no matter which major party POS may win."
With all due respect to you (assuming you were satisfied with Black Elk's response to me) and to Black Elk, and to all who would answer such a direct, pragmatic question similarly: That is not a true "end game" plan. It's a nice platitude that sounds good on a discussion forum, but it doesn't offer any real solution, IMO, to the true crisis we face today.
So maybe on that thread you, Diogenesis, missed my question (and maybe missed this one from AB today) because you were getting flamed quite a bit, so I'll repeat it, reworded slightly, "If we can't survive 4 more years of either man, WHAT are we supposed to do? What CAN we do? Should we vote for Tom Hoefling? Virgil Goode? Gary Johnson? Which third party candidate do you support Diogenesis?"
Because really, after all this back and forth of "ABO and FUMR", we can obsess about that until the cows come home, and post multiple photoshops and endless hyperlinks about how "evil" Romney is (and by the way, until AB pointed it out upthread, I never noticed but it's true, you never do post anything negative about Obama, of course, I guess one could argue that's a "given" here on FR but still..I digress)...we can do all that and argue endlessly which one is "more evil" but none of this moves anything forward.
So again, what's your game plan to help save this country, besides posting (either just or unjust) negativities about Romney? What's the game plan, besides posting inspirational platitudes like "RESISTANCE!!! is the end game no matter which major party POS may win."? I'm GENUINELY interested, because quite frankly the SC decision of last week crushed my optimism in the upcoming election.
I absolutely do not believe Romney will do anything substantive to dismantle Obamacare, because you know what, you, Diogenesis are RIGHT when you say Romney is the primary author of Obamacare. Obama so much as admitted (and probably will hammer on this more as the election continues) that his administration used Romneycare as a blueprint for their own plan! Who honestly thinks he (Romney) wants to substantively change it at this point? That's delusional, IMO.
Even given that though, I won't change my mind about voting for him UNLESS I can see a CLEAR path (no matter how long it may take mind you) to SAVING this country without his presidency.
The way I see it now, Romney is the only choice, NOT because he'll do anything to substantively change Obamacare, but because if he's in office, then at LEAST we have a reasonable hope of holding it in check, until true conservatives are elected to Congress, by a supermajority, to rid the nation of such a cancer, WITHOUT the President's "help".
That is, a Romney victory will give momentum to the GOP to perhaps take Congress if not in 2012, but in 2014, or maybe as late as 2016. In that time, those elected to Congress can at least defund it, through House mechanisms, and Romney at least won't try to stop that (I don't believe)
So, we all "get it" about Romney. Speaking for myself, I hold out no hope he personally will do anything of substance (beyond giving his OWN self serving platitudes) to rid us of such a scourge. But at least by voting for him, I can see a clear path to victory to eventually riding the country of that great scourge of socialized medicine. And on top of all that, there are other threats to this great nation besides Obamacare, primarily the broader economic crisis that I do believe Romney will be able to handle much more competently than Obama.
I don't see such a clear path, or any path, by your posts Diogenesis. Again, all you have done is remind us how horrible a "conservative" Romney is, but in your own words the "country can't survive 4 years of Romney" so fine. WHAT is YOUR game plan? Please, again, I'm genuinely interested.
