'I'm a eat you': Crazed naked man high on bath salts threatens to eat police officers as they try to

Newest 'cannibal': Karl Laventure apparently told police he wanted to eat their faces

Laventure appeared out of some woods and was seen running naked around a golf range near Atlanta, swinging a club around his head and screaming.

At first, they tried using pepper spray to stop him, but that left him undeterred.

'He didn't even wipe his eyes, he just kept them open,'

They then turned to their Tasers and though that momentarily shocked Laventure to the ground, it did not stop him.

Trouble: It took several police officers a significant amount of effort to subdue Karl Laventure when he was allegedly high on bathsalts

'We had to Tase him approximately five more times on scene to get him down. It took several officers to hold him down to get him cuffed,'

He was still talking gibberish, cussing, saying he wanted to eat us, other people

The video shows him talking about the deceased rappers Biggie and Tupac, making animal sounds, and continuing to threaten the police officers.

Strong: Police sprayed him with pepper spray and shocked him with a taser five times before they were able to get him on the ground

Interrupted: Witnesses saw a naked Laventure running around the Atlanta Golf Center on June 14 'making animal noises'

Among other things he said "I'm'a eat you. I'll eat you, I don't want to eat you but I will,"

Though they controlled him enough to force him to a nearby hospital, he attacked one of the nurses on the scene and another fight ensued.

There have been a number of 'cannibal' incidents linked to bath salts in recent weeks.

CFA has been swamped around the country, and now Wendy’s is now supporting them. Let loose the dogs of war! America is tired of leftists! YAY!

Some of the pictures on the several threads are amazing. The one in Monroe was filling up as we were leaving, 4:15 or so. It will be a madhouse through the usual dinner hours, I’m sure.

If I can ever get back to AZ, I’ll go to a CFA there. My brother and SIL always want to take me someplace to eat, so my choice has already been made. LOL!

The photos are, indeed, amazing. Folks are standing in the heat and not complaining. America CAN work!

"... he hit a guardrail on the freeway, shredded a fender, took out a headlight cluster and broke an alloy rim. Didn’t manage to trigger the airbags."

Sounds fixable. If it "was" running okay before, it's probably worth fixing up again, if you shop smart.

Find a replacement fender in the junkyard, order a headlight cluster, unless you can find that too. A new one, if available, will set you back a couple hundred.

The rims, I don't know. Maybe find a couple of regular rims and drive so that you can "show your good side".

Should all run about a thousand, which is less than trading cars. Might give the young'un a sense of attachment to it.

We’ll take you when you come here. The Airfare Fund is nearly complete; then there’s only waiting for the right time of year.

Yeah, that’s about what I guestimate.

The car only has a book value of ~$1200. Still worth it IMHO.

That's the top of my head, in the lower right.

Idunnowhy, but your head poking in there like that reminded me of Beaker, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew's imperiled assistant, from Muppet Labs.

I still have to try and get to Little Rock for my grandson’s birthday in December. Hopefully, my son will help with the cost. Grandson will be 16, and I promised him I would be at each birthday. Then I’ll pack for NC!

Just let me get to Utah, first! Did I tell you I was going to take The Stig with me? He likes vehicles!

Bill used to remind me of Beaker, when he was smaller and twitched and gibbered a lot.

No, I didn’t know The Stig was going on an Expotition. I hope he enjoys it. I forgot to tell you that we met a man in the Walmart parking lot the other day, 70-ish, wearing a VFW cap, who had a lovebird in his hand. Very pretty, mostly yellow. He said he bred them, and was bringing this one out for socialization. Each of the girls got to hold it for a moment.

Shannon is watching the Angry Birds Show out the sunroom window. There are about a dozen, whizzing around giving tiny furious Chirps.

I’m right there with ya, on that line of thinking.

I can’t replace my $1800 car with one that is equal in size or larger, and in equal or better condition, for less money than the most expensive repair I might normally encounter. I can replace my transmission for about $3500, but most $3500 used cars are smaller than mine, or more beat up. I know the whole service history of my car; I can do real, informed forecasting about the near-term cost of its upkeep. I know that the engine and transmission — if not abused — are expected to require only basic attention (fluid changes, etc) for at least the next three years. I know the car needs new tires next month, and plan to get some that are rated for 80,000 miles, because this car gives every indication that it will live long enough to wear them out.

I know none of these things buying anything else used, and anything new is just out of the question purely on the basis of drive-off depreciation. I may be nuts; I’m not bat-guano insane.

"Oh, and the bumper should probably be replaced as well..."

Not too expensive new. The problem with junkyard bumpers is that they are mostly ... junk.

Include it in the cost estimation. A possible savings is in painting. If it's a '95, who cares if the paint is a little off? Get a discount deal.

Be careful where you shop for prices.

Dealerships will price it as if making you a new car.

Find a lower-cost repair shop, but one that has been around for a while.

And remember that even a thousand dollar repair is only two months of new car car-payments.

Unless you were suckered into buying a Volt; then it's just one month.

Not to be too critical of cutting-edge technology, but just from the sound of it, the Volt seems a little under-powered.

I know! Put Herman Cain in charge of the program, and start marketing the "Nine Volt"!!!
