I overslept. Weird thing is that I went to bed early last night because today’s my day at the shelter and I wanted to get up early. Must’ve found another function on the alarm clock because the silly alarm rang only once instead of nagging me every five minutes. That tells me that the Creator has kept me out of something unpleasant.

It rained a lot last night, but because it didn’t come down in a 15 minute period, we didn’t have the flooding we normally do. Lots of accidents, though.

There are a couple of big rigs that jackknifed across the I-95 southbound about four AM and the freeway is still closed.

Folks aren’t used to driving with care in the rain as we have so little of it.

Nah, he hit a guardrail on the freeway, shredded a fender, took out a headlight cluster and broke an alloy rim. Didn’t manage to trigger the airbags.

It doesn’t take much damage to total a 17 year old car.

She woke up. It was just a small nap. Now off to the hardware store. Tom is driving, so if we don’t come back ... either he killed us all, or the internet went down again.
