Could somebody tell me how this will affect the Amish? ...and I’m serious! I’ve been traveling through the farmlands of Ohio...there’s plenty of them.

I assume they each have SS cards? They’re on file? They pay taxes? How do they handle health issues and insurance?

““We’re not going to tolerate that any more in America. You have to be responsible and you have to pay a penalty if you choose not to be...”

That was the case before the government got involved.”

Indeed it was the case before Washington lawlessly imposed the 1986 COBRA mandate upon hospital to effecentively give out their goods & services free.

They justified this sweeping usurpation on the grounds that the hospital could still sue to recover their money. But the right of recover was further cut down to where now it is now largely a legal fiction. Hences massive bankruptcy and consolidation over the 90’s. That is the effect of your federal mandate! Yet still at least you can say that legal fiction exist, that people are still “legally” compelled to face the consequence of their own actions rather than shift them to others.

Tell the despot Wasserman Schultz that Americans have the God Given right to be what he calls “irresponsible” with their own choices & lives. The left demonstrate this irresponsibility every day with both their individual and political choices. What the Federal Government does NOT have the right to do is mandate our actions or tax our inaction!

OH! I thought you meant the “Amish”...
of course, the “Amish” will get free insurance through the government. This was the whole point of this thing - wealth transfer.

But, if you’re referring to the real Amish, they have a religious exemption for being self insured.... for now.

I’m also surprised at the number of Christians that don’t realize they have an alternative as well. Do an internet search on “Christian health sharing ministries”. They are exempt as well, and you won’t be contributing to the 0bamanation.

And from the same CNN page "Sen. Snowe: Both sides have to come together". Well, I guess we'll need 52 senators to get a majority now. @(#$(@( RINOs.

I have been stating this for yrs now. If there were 85 (R) senators these elites will corrupt 36 of them in order to get their corrupt desired issues passed. So just all watch if there are 53-55 (R) senators elected because it doesn't guarantee zilch.

Also, what about these “exemptions”? If it is a tax, isn’t it required by law to apply equally? (maybe naive of me!)

How can this be a tax and allow for “certain groups”, at the discretion of politicians, to be “exempt”?

Does this now nullify the exemptions?

I doubt because one Judge Roberts says it is a tax that it is cut and dried a tax

other 4 liberal judges disagreed

Hell if it gets challenged I can see it going right back to the court and then what?

Liberals aren’t going to rule it a tax and I doubt the 4 conservatives will either

What a crap sandwich

Since Roberts did rule the mandate a tax, and Roberts said that a tax can only be challenged once it's assessed, then we have to have a tax assessed and then challenged as an unconstitutional tax.

Unfortunately, if logic mattered, Roberts would have had to rule O-care unconstitutional. But he made it a tax to get around the limitation on the commerce clause, while making it NOT a tax for the purpose of getting around the problem of not being able to rule on a tax until it had already been collected.

Don't want anyone to miss these two items hidden in 0bummerCommieCare:

effective in 2013 there will be a 3.8% 0bamacare tax on the gross sales price of a home. He said that if you sell a $100,000 condominium $3,800 tax will be taken from you while the property is in escrow. Can anybody confirm this? What other surprises lay in store for us?

“IMPEACH ROBERTS!”

While justice against the traitor to our liberty is no doubt a great desires in all our hearts. We must turn our attention to the looming threat his treachery has brought upon us!

As Wasserman Schultz has indicated the Democrats are now maneuvering themselves(and attempting to move the public) politically into a position where they can uses ugly force coercive their mandate upon an unwilling patriot population willing to resit federal Governments lawless edict.

Leftist are attempting to prepare the stage so that the application of their abomination does not trigger in the minds of the general public trigger Boston type Massacre & political crisis.

(They want us to go quietly & peacefully into the night accepting the death of our individual freedom and servitude to their socialist government, and rejecting as radicals the patriots that will stand against them.)

We however must stop that, and instead work to maximize the effect of theses events to contemn the tyrant that brought them about. Patriot blood will be split and it is essentially that the tyrant is roundly blamed for that atrocity.

If we are successful in rigging the stage against them, they will not attempt this move in fear of the backlash. If we fail, so do the rights of every man, woman, and child in theses “united” States.

“.....(follow the money, you can BET some politicians are being paid off to cram such an unpopular and unworkable pile of crud on us!)”

These people (mainly Progressive Democrats) see themselves as being in positions of power and influence and they are consumed with doing whatever it takes to keep themselves where they are. This is especially true for those in the US Senate, a paradise for those who are “powerful elites” in their own minds.

Their “payoff” is in the form of votes from their constituency which will grant them what they crave...staying in power. That’s why it is so frustrating to us when they are re-elected time and again by our fellow Americans.

This came around in emails almost a year ago and was proven "false Internet Legend."

There's no other way of checking this except through the liberal site, snopes.com who calls it "false." I just hope there other ways to confirm or deny what snopes.com says.
