Media's Liberals Laughing at John Roberts
Breitbart ^ | 7/2/12 | Joel B. Pollak

Don't be fooled by the false praise being heaped upon Chief Justice John Roberts by the mainstream media and its favorite go-to legal commentators. Jeffrey Toobin, no less, of the New Yorker and CNN, lets the cat out of the bag--they are celebrating Roberts's opinion in the Obamacare case, even though they know it is a total farce:

In the end, of course, Roberts did uphold the A.C.A. as an exercise of the constitutional power to tax. Frankly, that argument is not a persuasive one. As the conservative Justices wrote in their joint dissenting opinion, taxes are enforced contributions to support a government; penalties are punishments for unlawful acts. The individual mandate is clearly designed to induce the purchase of insurance, and the only people who have to pay the fees are the ones who refuse to go along. That sounds a lot like a penalty. But it was good enough for Roberts, and it led to the correct result. Any port will do in a constitutional storm.

A constitutional storm, yes--one of Obama's own creation, when Obamacare passed in March 2010 and when he attacked the Supreme Court in March 2012.

If I were a lib, I’d be laughing, smiling and flipping everyone the bird too.

Look at all the damage they’ve wrought and no one has so much as lifted a finger (or given a pathetic squeal) to stop them.

“....it also gives the left an excuse to keep beating up the so-called conservative, “politicized” Court over its Commerce Clause holding, while demonstrating that such bullying is devastatingly effective.”

Just the opposite of the praise the poor jerk thought he would get.

If John Roberts thought he was going to get more than some fleeting, superficial praise from the Washington liberal establishment he was sadly mistaken. He violated his oath - rewrote the unconstitutional Obamacare law and gave it a patina of 'constitutionally'.

By doing so Chief Justice Roberts helped a communist president and a corrupt senate majority force socialized medicine and all it's attendant costs and loss of personal freedom upon the American people. He will definitely live in infamy and being laughed at will be the least of the well-deserved criticism he'll receive - for generations.

Roberts seems unaware that he’s just destroyed the integrity of the Court.

Once the Libs have learned Justices can be rolled through lobbying they are gonna ramp it up to 11 every time an issue near and dear to Libs comes before the Court.

Is is only going to get worse.

Roberts really couldn’t have done worse. Besides sending us into national destitution and slavery, he has confirmed the bolsheviks’ mau-mau-ing efforts as effective. They will now attack the Court on everything because they know he is an easy roll. Roberts has not saved the Constitution, the country, the Court or his reputation.

No, it just goes without saying that the liberal justices are always wrong. Hence, nobody bothers to mention it anymore.

Roberts may have violated his oath re Obamacare, but my take is that this is his second violation at least, the first being the administration(s) of the oath (twice) of office January 20-21, 2009.

At least 50 judges both state and federal, have refused standing to any challenge of his eligibility, never even letting a plaintiff in the batter's box of discovery. This includes well-respected 'conservative' jurists in CA (Carter), Lamberth (DC) and today, Lewis (FL). Does anyone sniff a fragrance, developed in Chicago, named "Night of Intimidation"?

They are not laughing at him. They are laughing at the hard working Americans being looted through yet another govt. fiasco. Roberts didn’t just gift them with their death care law. He also expanded their power to do what they do best. Tax and enslave.
