Grassley reacts as DOJ blows off contempt; Issa’s ‘bombshell’
Seattle Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 29 June, 2012 | Dave Workman

Senator Charles Grassley got furious fast over the Justice Department’s dismissive attitude about the House of Representatives’ criminal contempt citation against Attorney General Eric Holder, and his call for independent action by the U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C. will likely earn accolades from western gun rights activists.

Grassley will be far more popular than a Kent man who was sentenced in federal court in Seattle Friday for selling a gun via the internet later used in a murder, and probably more popular than the judge who handed down the sentence, for something he said in court, according to the Seattle Times. More about that in a moment.

In a Friday letter to U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen, Jr., Grassley took particular exception to the Justice Department’s reaction after the House voted 255-67 – with 109 members walking out on the vote – to hold Holder in contempt for refusing to turn over subpoenaed documents in the Fast and Furious investigation. Last week, Grassley wrote a letter to President Obama about executive privilege and Fast and Furious, which may be read here.

Proof positive that Cummings was down right lying! Racist at its worst!

Absolutely! Besides the American BP agent and the American ICE agent (Hispanic), the blood of hundreds of innocent Mexican citizens is dripping from Cummings's hands.

They were butchered to facilitate the bastards' disarming US. What's hundreds of butchered brown people compared to such a lofty goal...

Hmm??? If Cummings didn’t directly give him the letter then there is a whistleblower between the origin of the letter and Cummings...Hope they are careful and stay out of parks.

As this unfolds it is also probable that more will join the side of good over evil.

Someone with access to DOJ material,or, someone with access to Cummings’ material...

In any event, I suspect Grassley and Issa have a great deal of information they’re holding close. This has been orchestrated very well, and to do that, one has to have a lot to work with.

BTW, I’ve downloaded Katy Pavlich’s Fast & Furious book to my Kindle. Won’t be reading it for a while as I’m midway through Travis’ EFAD trilogy again, but I’ll get to in in a week or so. As I understand, it does a pretty good job of putting it all together.

What an excellent illustration of a 'truth suppressor'!

The rule of law used to mean that the law acted to limit abuse of individual rights and to protect society from lawless behavior. Democrats do not believe in that process so they just make up legal precedent as they go along rather than work for legislation to re-define laws. What that amounts to is a philosophy of democrats, to change laws in an unconstitutional way because they no longer follow the constitution and no one is forcing them to follow it! And now these same bastards have a strong enabler sitting atop the SCOTUS ruling for their approach to changing laws by issuing precedent rather than legislating new law or changes to laws. But make no mistake, when democrats are in complete control of the legislative (as in Harry Reid's lawless control of the Senate), they abuse the system to the max via regulators, czars with unspecified powers to prosecute and Senators who block any effort to follow the Constitution. Harry Reid and Elijah Cummings are enemies of America as defined in the Constitution, but they are great friends to the lawless.

The black America haters didn’t even have the guts to vote the way their little godman voted, ‘present’. Elijah Cummings should be removed from the Congress for aiding and abetting criminal behavior while sitting on a Congressional Committee. He’s above prosecution, obviously, or jail time, but Congress could remove his criminal ass but won’t.

Did anyone else notice the phrase that Eric said following the letter drop echoed WJC’s “I must get back to the people’s business”?

Ole Eric is setting up the political line to claim that Republican investigations won’t permit him to protect the country from terrorists and crime. Clinton did this, too. When something happens, it will be the Republicans’ fault for taking DOJ’s eye off the ball.
