Obamacare: Another Example of Utopian Foolishness
ibt ^ | 7/1/2012 | By Kayleigh McEnany

The Supreme Court has spoken, the president has spoken, and Congress has spoken. Now it is time for the American people to speak. In four months, Americans will have a choice. We can choose to elect a vision that is true to what America is -- a country where freedom is cherished, hard work is rewarded, and handouts are adverse to our very nature. Or we can re-elect a vision very much at odds with this foundation, a vision whose fruits are destroying America at its very core.

The latter vision produced Obamacare, a piece of legislation that amounts to little more than utopian foolishness. President Barack Obama and the Democrats told us health care was a human right and they were here to ride in on their white horses and deliver that right. They misled the people -- either by intent or ignorance -- into believing this. One problem: Health care for all is an empirical impossibility, and the Democratic promises were nothing more than the hollow words of a devout ideologue.

The simple truth is health care must be rationed. This is a nonnegotiable; the rules of supply and demand require it. The United States was already facing a physician shortage before the passage of Obamacare, which only exacerbated this shortage.

There is NO Choice with Mr. RomneyCARE on the ticket.

ROMNEYCARE is OBAMACARE.

THERE is no difference.
It is control of people through GOVERNMENT
becaues government is so much smarter, and kinder,
and faster, and more caring.

The SCOTUS actually gave Romney an out if he takes it because they gave Medicaid option back to the states.

“The United States was already facing a physician shortage before the passage of Obamacare, which only exacerbated this shortage.”

The above from the article excerpt reminded me there was a major controversy (one of many) during the Clinton mistake in which I believe he used student loans, or lack thereof to redirect the education of aspiring young doctors, thus causing a future shortage.

I don’t recall the whole story, methods, nor means, but do recall it was an attempt to engineer social goals in America.

Perhaps somebody in the know could chime in on this reflection.

RE :”We can choose to elect a vision that is true to what America is — a country where freedom is cherished, hard work is rewarded, and handouts are adverse to our very nature

handouts are adverse ????

If the author hasn't noticed POTUS elections are seen as electing a nation Santa claus by voters. That is why both candidates endlessly promise stuff they cant deliver. In Obama’s case he promised he could spend all this money and never raise middle class taxes.

Mr. RomneyCARE is absolutely, positively the WRONG PERSON
to lead the challenge against ObamaCARE and socialized

Oh give it up. There is, indeed, a big difference, and you know it.

decades of allowing socialists, or worse, to infiltrate the *leadership* roles in our society, and the refusal to require assimilation of immigrants has dumbed down the resistance to government being 'god'...

santa is not only welcomed, but *required* by a political candidate these days, and as you say, why we're screwed...
