So where the heck were all these doctors when Obamacare was being debated? Their silence--and if I remember right, the AMA's approval--allowed Obamacare to become law.

There were plenty of Doctor’s voicing their opinions...but the MSM ignored anyone who didn’t join lockstep with them.

The AMA represents all doctors about like the Liberal AARP represents all retired people. In other words, not at all.

I also remember that doctors were not silent. Many threatened to retire if Obamacare becomes law, and there was even some poll, IIRC, that proved that. However members of the public were shouted down by the likes of Pelosi. Input from below was not of interest; Obama and his henchmen were on a mission.

Less than 30% of physicians are represented by the AMA. The AMA is a leftist racket stacked with entrenched academics and bureaucrats, not your avg doc out in the field actually practicing medicine. A world of difference.

My neighbor was a pie eyed liberal new doctor in a local practice. On election night he had a party and sat around with his liberal buddies and talked about their brave new world. You could tell they had no idea what was coming. There was a teacher there and some grad students with me and the founder of the practice where he worked. At the end of the night I and the old doc were pissed and told them what this meant. They looked at us like we were stupid. About 2 months later this guys was cursing his decision. I have laughed at him every time Obama comes up. Some people are just too stupid.

My doctor was telling me how great it was going to be and how it was only going to affect the poor. The rest of us would have the same insurance.

He also told me to quit listening to Rush Limbaugh.

The next time I saw him, I think he was expecting me to tell him “I told you so”, but I didn't.

They can cry me a river.

They were as passive during the creation of this as they have been about abortion. Actually the AMA is pro choice.

Hippocratic oath. They take it as seriously as Obama and most politicians take their oath to uphold the Constitution.
