America is in the throes of a presidential campaign that presents real hope for the future of America (Romney) versus the same-old, same-old (Obama). While it appears right now that Obama and his socialist policies will lose in November, America will still be faced with many problems that have crept into society in the past fifty years.
While America has many liberal-caused problems, let's examine just three of them: welfare, race relations, and education.
Welfare: In his State of the Union address on January 8, 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson declared "war on poverty." Johnson's speech led Congress to pass the Economic Opportunity Act, which established the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) to administer the local application of federal funds targeted against poverty. Since then, the federal government has spent approximately $16 trillion on welfare. Welfare includes, among other programs, the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), the former food stamp program, and unemployment insurance.
In 2011, the Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs, Stimulus Oversight and Government Spending of the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a hearing on the issue of "Duplication, Overlap, and Inefficiencies in Federal Welfare Programs." At that hearing, Patricia A. Dalton, the chief operating officer of the General Accountability Office (GAO), testified that the GAO could not identify all existing...

Will liberals ever wake up and face the facts that their ideas and policies don't work? How many times must they be shown that policies they implement have never worked? You would think that fifty years would be long enough for them to view the results of their labors. But in the face of what their policies have wrought, their only response is that America has not spent enough money! For liberals, evidence be damned -- it's their policies that count.

American Liberals are not American. They subscribe to an internationalist agenda based upon the supposed intellectual superiority of an intelligent and brilliant intellectual elite that considers Americans with religious faith to be morons; those who believe in the American Constitution are also morons with no ability to think.
They will never “wake up”. They will continue to be dedicated to their own perceived superiority and entitlement to power. They will always be visceral in their beliefs, always be dedicated to subversion, always be dedicated to an allegiance to an international movement whose objective is the elimination of religious faith along with the raising of certain humans to the status of gods.
As long as the electorate continues to swallow their hollow promises, we will have to cope with the unhinged antics of subversive tyrants who abuse the American system and seek to undermine it while claiming to defend and uphold it.

My experience says, “No.”
I’ve spent 4 years now watching on FB how my liberal friends (old classmates - co-workers - even some fellow church members) react whenever “their” plans crash and burn.
They ALWAYS find a way to pin it on some evil republican - or an evil businessman.
It is never EVER EVER their fault.
How could it be?
They are smarter - more compassionate.
There is absolutely no way any conservative anywhere could be right about anything.
Wake up? Let ‘em die in their sleep.
One of these days, they will run out of other peoples money. We have a liberal leaning lady who was sporting an obummer sticker in 2008. She was in front of me at the hardware store yesterday and the clerk asked her what she thought about the health care bill being declared constitutional.
The lady started into a rampage about how her husband had lost his job and they were barely making ends meet. She had some choice words about the won. Would have made a sailor blush. No dimocrat will ever get her vote again.

Wake up? I hope they all go into comas. They are beyond hope and redemption. Asshat LIBs are the ultimate lost cause. Give up.

They are aware of the destructive failure of their policies - its called the “Cloward-Piven” strategy.
It’s designed to crash the system, making the way for the new progressive order.
They will only wake up when the SHTF, or all there “free goodies” dry up , and then they scavenge, or steal from others, and maybe, just a maybe, they will realize their fate is in their own hands.....
No. Let them experience their reality. Let the population feel the hard whip of socialist/progressive policies on the own hides. Only when they have no control over their lives, no freedom, no control of their children, no joy, no happiness, no privacy and no life, will they wake up. And even then, a few will welcome slavery.
Self identified liberals may only be twenty percent of the electorate but they are almost certainly ALL true liberals. Far too many self identified conservatives only imagine themselves to be conservatives, having no real definition of the term to rely on. I have heard some who call themselves conservatives support national health care before Obama was a recognizable name. As sad as it makes me to say it I think a huge percentage of “conservatives” are at least as much in need of a lecture on what true freedom involves as are the liberals.
I really hope that one day there will be a United States of America that will be what it was intended to be but at the age of 68 I have precious little hope of living long enough to see it. I certainly don’t expect it to materialize suddenly following the election of Mitt Romney. Some of the very young may be inclined to throw off the shackles but they won’t be able to even make an attempt for decades to come unless those who predict a sudden and utter collapse in the immediate future turn out to be right. If there is no real economy left to support the schemes of the collectivists then freedom might sprout again like the Longleaf pine after a forest fire. Freedom can coexist with poverty so long as dreamers who imagine that they have a solution to poverty are confined to jobs for which they are qualified such as cleaning toilets. Freedom CANNOT coexist with laziness, indifference and WILLFUL ignorance.
Prosperity of the many cannot exist at all unless if coexists with the RELATIVE poverty of a small minority. One who looks from the highest peak of a mountain range and plots to reduce all to a flat plain has a workable plan providing he can command the energy resources to accomplish the task but one who imagines that he can lift the valleys up to the level of the peaks is an idiot.
That is why the founders designed a constitutional republic and detested the word democracy! That is also why the left has insisted on calling it a democracy as they pervert the workings of the republic until if functions as a democracy thereby guaranteeing its demise and its replacement by an oligarchy devoted to enslaving the majority at the pleasure of the few.

I really wanted to tick her off and tell her that stupid people should not be allowed anywhere near a voting booth. I'll bet she was one of the white guilt voters.

And that’s socialism/liberalism/communism/progressiveness (or whatever they call themselves today) for you. It is the same old story, even though their ideas and ideals have without exception failed every single time and have caused nothing but death and misery, they are still deluded into believing that “this time it will be different.”
Usually this delusion is caused by the belief that the past reason for failure was
1) The right people were not in charge, but the new leader is so much smarter and/or less corrupt than anyone that has tried and failed before, therefore he/she/it will make it work this time. (Hence Obama’s nickname “The One”)
2) We just didn’t spend enough money if we only spend more and spend it sooner…. (2nd stimulus anybody)
3) or it’s whatever scapegoat/Emmanuel Goldstein they can find fault for opposing them. ( Bush’s fault)
Interesting that the cumulative bill for welfare is just about equal to the national debt...
