Missouri Democratic senator Claire McCaskill is "hiding" from reporters after the Supreme Court's Obamacare decision yesterday, according to a local news report:
McCaskill won't say where she stands on Obamacare, though she voted for it. And she won't make her self available to members of the press curious to hear her thoughts.
"There's only ever been one goal for Claire. Affordable, accessible health care for Missouri," a spokesman for the senator told the local news outlet.
The Missouri senator is in the middle of a close reelection battle. Her past support of Obamacare is thought to pose a great political risk to her future.
McCaskill made news earlier this week by announcing that she will not attend the Democratic convention later this year.
Open seats include Wisconsin Senator Herb Kohl's seat. Dem candidate is Rep. Tammy Baldwin, who voted for and ferociously defended Obamacare. Republican opponent TBD - I am hoping for Eric Hovde or Jeff Fitzgerald.
Sen. Kyl said on Kudlow today that the GOP is going to force a vote in the U.S. Senate reaffirming Obamacare, specifically referring to the mandate as a tax per the SCOTUS decision. This won’t be stand alone because Reid would never allow a vote on it, but it will be attached to existing legislation.
A similar approach is going to be taken in the House.
Democrats are not only going to be in the position of defending their original Obamacare vote, they are going to have to vote again on it with the wording clearly indicating that it is a TAX.
The House vote is scheduled for July 11, as I recall.
Get the popcorn ready.

I for one certainly do not, and I praise Justice Roberts for having so much wisdom in giving us this GIFT, for now and for the future. It will take some time for many to understand this.
Should be some easy 60 sec ads there.
The GOP has a reasonable chance of taking the Senate in the next election, but what is unreasonable is to expect a statist like Mitch McConnell to bring it up for a vote. He would only do that if he knows it will lose.
Mockingly chanting:

I’ll be driving from Omaha this fall to canvass for her (on top of volunteering for Deb Fischer).
Clair will be the ‘Blanche Lincoln’ of 2012....she’s been a lame duck the moment she voted for the ACA.
This election will be her wake: Crying, moaning, groaning, lamenting, etc.,
It’s your goodbye tour Claire. Let me be the first to say “goodbye”.
Wish someone could make a spread sheet with all of the active Senate seats up for election this fall: Which seats are R, D now, which needs flipping. Who the candidates are if already selected. We ALL need to keep track of each of these races. The polls, news articles, links like ak posted above etc will help us support those in need like we did in Mass. and Alaska.
So much is riding on the Senate races this fall. Let the locals choose who best represents them (with some help for conservative candidates) But then let US all help them across the line in the fall.
We need someone here on FR with computer skills to initiate the thread in Activism and then have a willing moderator edit the initial post as final candidates are selected.
Someone PLEASE step forward.
We all can add news links etc. once we get it started....It needs to be ongoing not just a here today gone tomorrow thread.

Rep. Todd Akin, US Rep from District 2 (my representative) and conservative http://www.akin.org/
John Brunner, St. Louis businessman who has never run for political office before http://johnbrunner.com/ and
Sarah Steelman, former State Senator and State Treasurer http://www.sarahsteelman.com/
Any of these three could beat McCaskill. In this age of "identity politics," Sarah has an advantage as a female, but she is my personal third choice. (Her husband, David, is a trial lawyer and until she began running for US Senate, she opposed tort reform; I don't trust her.) Although Todd is a current federal rep (and despite the fact that he's my current representative), I prefer him over Brunner because he knows "how to play the political game." I understand the "throw the bums out" attitude, but I also believe we need some people who have experience in the political "sausage-making" process."
I will support whomever wins the August 7 primary. Missouri Freepers, get involved in this race. We MUST get rid of Claire McCaskill!
I want Reid and Pelosi gone. And I don’t care how it happens.
Don’t worry, Claire! Obama has your back!
“Well, the big difference here and in 94 was youve got me.”—Barack Obama to endangered Democrat members of Congress, January 2010.
Good charta at the WIKI link. The analysis that follows leans a bit
