Dear GOP,
This is your last chance. If you blow this, I'm out and you need to be destroyed.
What is it? Repeal ObamaCare on Day 1. Don't worry about replace, don't worry about anything else. We will do everything we have to drag your sorry asses over the line this fall, including electing Mitt [...] Romney.
In return this is what you will do:
Instead of adjourning for pictures and tea and cake to celebrate getting your pathetic asses elected to 2 or 6 years on the government teet, you will immediately pass a one line bill that says, "The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (and whatever statute number has to be included) is hereby repealed."
That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.
Since Congress meets before Inauguration Day, Obama will still be President. Simply hold the legislation at the desk so the 10 day pocket veto clock doesn't start. If other parliamentary BS is needed, just do it.
Then as soon as Mitt takes the oath of office, before his speech no one will care or remember, walk the bill up to him at the podium to sign.
If this does not happen, the GOP must be destroyed and a new party built to replace it. We've tried the carrot approach (votes, money, volunteers) to change your behavior. Now it's time to show you the stick.
No more, "oh the other guys are worse" scare tactics. That might be true but it doesn't mean you are any good.
This is your one job, do it or join the Whig Party in the dustbin of history.
By far his best essay, but of course this is his third try at 10th grade.
Those gutless pussies do need their feet held to the flames, nay, shoved in the coals. Heck, most of the teaparty noobs are already suckling at banker teat...
“...look, if we build this large wooden badger...”
a sophomore at Alfred E. Neuman HS.That explains the profanity I had to edit out.
My momma always said that cursing was a sign of poor vocabulary. The older I get, the smarter she gets.
Bob Dole ran for President claiming that as a Republican Senator he saved Social Security, LOL.
The GOP-E isn’t scared of us.
Frankly, anyone that still believes the GOP is an actual alternative to the Democrats has been living under a rock for at least 25 years.
How many times has that been said over the past 10 or 20 years? Conservative make empty threats, Republicans keep selling them out yet most conservatives still end up voting for RINOs like Romney. The whole cycle is insanity.
It's stop to making empty threats and start acting on those threats.
No more chances!
Of course, they aren't. We never hold them accountable. Most end up voting for any RINO the Republicans put up. There isn't a bigger RINO with more of a liberal record than Romney, yet fools here have convinced himself he is going to turn the country around. The stupidity of it all is mind-boggling.
As I’ve told you a thousand times, this is your last chance!
Stop!....or I’ll yell stop again!
You may have more faith in the Republican Party than I do. I see no future for us in that repulsive party.
I do understand your approach here, though. Perhaps it would not be a bad idea to give the lowlifes one more chance to make things right. But I really doubt they will follow through.
Presuming the Republicans hold the House, the House will vote for repeal. In the Senate, we have probably a 50-50 chance of regaining control, and if we do, we will have a 1-3 vote margin. Harry Reid will lead a filibuster against repeal. We will be far short of the 60 votes needed.
So everything will depend on reconciliation. That can't be done on day 1. It will be tough to do at any time, but there's a fighting chance.
In any event, the great majority of Republicans in both the House and Senate will vote for repeal. If they fail, it will be because "we" didn't elect enough Republican senators. I don't think "they" are the problem.
