Many have forgotten that the right to keep and bear arms was specifically added to the Constitution not specifically so that citizens can protect themselves against other citizens, but so that citizens can protetect themselves from government run amuck. That is what the Revolutionary War was about - government run amuck. That is what the 2nd Amendment is about.
Prayers for the families of the fallen Americans, the families of the murdered Mexicans, and that Justice prevails, and that Americans open their eyes, unhypnotized, to what's really threatening our children's future. In the 20th century, not including warfare, 100 Million innocent people were murdered by their own governments. Countless more died stopping those governments in wars. Brian's loss to his family is an agony personal to them, I am not going to understand it even if I try. This song is an angry tribute to a good man. As a citizen, I find the callousness the administration has shown towards Terry's murder at the hands of a 'botched' (or intentional) operation and consequent cover up, a WH Press Secretary who can does remember the murdered border agent's name, hundreds of other innocent human beings in the US and Mexico whose names we'll never know, and especially the attendant perjury by a narcissistic administration, a contemptible disgrace to my country. Ben Franklin wrought 'A Republic, if you can keep it.' We have not kept it.
