Wendy Long, a Manhattan lawyer, activist, and former Supreme Court clerk, is projected to win the Republican nomination for Senate in New York. With over half of all precincts reporting, Long has won 55 percent of the vote, while Congressman Bob Turner has 34 percent and Nassau County comptroller George Maragos has 11 percent.

No idea who she is. Guess I’ll have to research. Although, anybody opposing schumer has my support.
“will face incumbent Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand”
Well she is a Chuck-puppet so you are right we are opposing Schumer.
She is really an Obama puppet, so far to the left that she is considered the most liberal member of the Senate. To the left of Bernie Sanders, the only declared Socialist senator. She was the only Republican senator to vote against defunding ACORN.
She must go.
Sorry—don’t know how that got in there! Not a Republican!
She’s a good friend of Laura Ingraham I believe.
Congrats to Wendy on her big win and avoiding the conservative ballot drama that would have occurred had Turner (I hope his career continues in some fashion) won
She seems to have some star power.
This should scare the bejeebees out of King Bozo Ozmocote!
“She seems to have some star power.”
I agree, Wendy Long does have star power. Even NYPost writer, and talk show host, Fred Dicker raves about her, and he seems to be quite critical of the majority of candidates, including some conservative Republicans.
Wendy Long is asking for as little as $10 for her campaign, as she said a lot of people giving small amounts means a lot.
“Shes a good friend of Laura Ingraham I believe.”
Wendy Long is even godmother to Laura’s childen, which I learned from a robo call by Laura Ingraham.

It’s close.
I’d love to vote in the actual election but stupid state and federal laws give me only 1 vote in 1 state. :(
LOL
Now if you were a snow bird from NY, you could vote in both NY and FL (so I hear).
Impy, thise laws only apply to Republicans. I’m sure you can register as a Democrat in both IL and NY and prosecutors will look the ither way—heck, AG Holder will try to stop anyone who tries to “disenfranchise” you in either state.
I hear the same thing. I’m not sure if was enough to provide the margin of victory but Tim Bishop barley won reelection.
