What is "Fast and Furious?" In late 2009, ATF agents noticed a surge in gun purchases in the U.S. by suspected Mexican drug cartels and were tasked with following the guns. Sharyl Attkisson reports on the infamous program now known as "Fast and Furious."
(Click and bookmark source link for Fast and Furious reporting by Sharyl Atkisson and CBS News.)
CBS has been surprisingly vocal about F&F.
CBS positioning itself to claim credit when the truth emerges, the better to contrast itself with the hapless and incompetent NBC
This “Fast and Furious” web page is merely a segment buried in a massive web site. If you search ‘Fast and Furious’ on the main CBS News Page or on any of the TV news show pages, you get no results. Apparently the only place these investigative reports appeared anywhere on CBS News was buried in the blog, not worthy of appearing on their TV news.
I find this to be a cover for the government attempt to blame the 2nd amendment for Mexicans buying guns in the USA. Therefore the need to control dealers!!!!
when democrats have a talking point that wins voters they never drop it - it winds up in everything. If it is about prescription drugs, a story about the military can be divereted to - waste in the military can be turned into “pd” Here with Fast and Fourious the republicans should be saying, this is about 300 police and public safety people killed by these weapons sent by this government to Mexico - no warning and no tracking...Mexicans dies the adminstration lied.
[If I were going to semi-trust ANY of the Big Three network news outlets, it would be CBS.]
I don’t know about the news so much but I sure like watching Golf more on CBS.
Golf on NBC is almost unwatchable. While golf is being played they keep inserting their own ‘pieces’. I finally had to quit watching until they got serious about what was happening live on the course.
And you are right. FR has it all from the jump.

Now everybody knows what the BS in cbs stands for.
I haven't watched CBS in a decade or so, but it's my understanding that they have been the only MSM entity to cover this from the beginning. And fairly well, too.

CBS’ Sheryl Attkinson has done a great job of covering F&F for over a year now. Her reports are a lot better than anything FOX News has done.
“Semi-trust: See semi-pregnant, semi-dead, etc,”
Remember CBS=See B.S. It’s like in the land of the blind Communist, the one-eyed Communist is king!
Thanks BillyBB, Sharyl Attkisson has proven to have been an expert investigative reporter on F&F over the past year or so. Unfortunately, we have a whole raft of hidebound, blowhard Freepers that are too lazy to do any analysis of their own and automatically associate Sharyl’s reporting with that of that fraud Dan Rather. That is too bad and reflects badly on this site. You know who you are!!

Let’s see here, the same CBS that was running gun running stories in 2009. But their stories were about the rogue gun stores that were arming up the cartel armies? The same CBS that was editorializing that more federal gun controls were needed?
CBS was on obama’s side back then, but it seems that they now see the handwriting on the wall and are trying to play both sides of the issue. If obama and holder weren’t in trouble, CBS would have never switched sides.
