I’m not surprised that the U. S. struck down the attempts at creating state laws that already had federal versions on the books.
I am heartened to see that stops can still be made. When stops are made, identification is always required. Those not having identification can naturally be asked to provide documents. If they can’t, they’re up a creek without a paddle.
If I were the chief state law enforcement officer, I’d order my people to take those illegals to the border and drop them off and watch them walk across.
If they’re from another nation, I’d incarcerate them until the Feds agreed to pick them up. I would not turn them over unless the Feds agreed to deport them.
