Does this data include measurements of erosion caused by storm damage along that coast?
If Philadelphia is now a COASTAL City there are much bigger problems that a couple inches of sea level rise. DId the ENTIRE STATE of New Jersey dissappear????????
Even if you stretched the imagination as far as it can stretch -- tidal effects on the Delaware River end near Trenton, NJ. Philadelphia is and always will be a Fresh Water port.
Is the article claiming that all of the water is somehow shifting so that it is running uphill on the Atlantic coast?
The sky is falling, the sky is falling,,,,oh wait,,,the ocean is rising, the ocean is rising,,,,wait,,,,the east coast is sinking, the east coast is sinking..........
Unless the wind is blowing from east to west 24/7/365, it's all BS.
Since we are a lot fatter than we used to be, perhaps we are displacing more as we swim?
“3 Times Faster”?! Heeeeeelp!! How much time do I have?
They’d better check on Guam. It might be tipping over, too.
The highest rate of Leftist data crunching appears to be taking place along the U.S. East Coast.
It has NEVER been flat or stable. Why do we expect it to be stable now?
This gives us a big trade advantage. Ships from Europe have to sail up hill to get here and ours can cost down hill.
I THINK this might be the explanation:
Warm water expands more than cooler water. If the Atlantic on the Eastern Seaboard is warmer, the water there will be “bigger.” Yes this bigger water will flow out of the Atlantic and cool elsewhere, but cooler water will then also flow into this warm zone and expand again, keeping the water level constantly higher.
Don’t hate me— I’m just trying to clarify what I think the theory is.
Sea level has already risen 2 feet as of 2000.
In another 10 years it will have risen 10 feet. /sarcasm
OTOH, the good news is that 15-20 more inches and a couple of substantial contributors to the Nation's decline into chaos will be partially eliminated...
IAC, an Atlantic swim by 99942 Apophis is still the best hope of allowing some small hope for beginning a return to a Constitutional Republic.
