Its funny, because for too long Apple has kept the Ipad locked down by only allowing it to run the apps that Apple approves. Have to use Itunes to add files from an external source. Cant watch certain types of video without re-encoding. And no SD reader or USB port? Thats a joke. You obviously DON'T own an iPad because your complaints are the joke. . . On you. Apple has provided a SD reader and USB adapter since the release of the iPad. There are browsers that allow you to view FLASH content. The lock down of the apps keeps the platform secure from malware.

And theft. At first developers were torqued that Apple controls the app approval process. Now developers are flocking to the Apple App Store ecosystem because it eliminates privacy. As a developer, it is gratifying to know that the thousands of customers I have have all PAID for my apps. 100%. When I wrote for Windows I had people stealing from me left and right. A primary reason why developers are choosing iOS over Android is the App Store. The Surface will be a software pirate's paradise, like Android.
