I wish them happiness.
As do I. I know a LOT of gay people. One of whom is one of my best friends. I would never deny her happiness. Most of my gay friends show more caring and compassion then a LOT of people on this board. Flame away, I don't give a rats ass. I also admire the Cheneys quite a bit.

I’m with you. I really shouldn’t even read these threads.
It’s upsetting. I believe there should be way for them to
legally connect thats not marriage. And i took my cue from
my gay friends who also feel that way.
The Cheneys are a terrific family and i wish them ALL every
happiness and continue to pray for Dick Cheneys health.

Perhaps all your gay friends are the exceptions to the rule but I have never met a truly "happy" homosexual. They are consistently never able to maintain a real romantic relationship which is coupled by at least moderate mental issues. Professionally I run into two types of homosexuals, one is the constant domestic abuser, the second is the suicidal, on many occasions I've even ran into the older/younger stalker relationship paradigm. None of them have been had ever been "happy".
Neither personally nor professionally have I yet to run into a homosexual couple that was "normal" (in any way) with the normal man-woman- hetero couple problems.

Same here, I have several gay friends. They're great people and they are productive citizens in society. I would never ever dream of discriminating against them because of what they do in their bedroom.

If compassion means pretending that sin is not sin, then that is not compassion, it is just denial.
As a christian, I know that God loves all sinners, though He abhors sin. He has opened a way for sinners to repent and be reconciled to Him through His Son. Now that is compassion.

If any of my children were homosexuals, I would be devastated. I can’t imagine saying I was proud of them. I would love them, but would never say I was happy for them or proud of them. I would pray for them to see God’s plan and to abandon their sinful lifestyle.
