Hey, if Obama said he was born in Kenya (for 16 years), that's good enough for me.

The truth is hate to those that hate the truth.

Freep on!!

Every congress person in D.C. KNOWS he’s not eligible. That means every congress person in D.C. is either a coward or believes the constitution no longer applies.

here is the thing.
Prior to 2007 the policy was a parent must have lived in the USA for 5 years from her 14th birthday to vestow USA citizenship on a child born in another country. Stanely Ann did not meet that requirment

but NOW if you go to the usgov’t site for citizens it says any child born to any USA citizen is considered ‘ natural born”
it uses that exact phrase, as a cover for 0dumbo.

I hope soneome kept the pages from 2004 that address this so we can compare it to what is there now

See Doctrine of de facto Officer.

Congress takes a hit for not doing its duty, but that's pretty much an every day shortcoming on everything - federalism, tax policy, spending policy -- all that is set by Congress.

It does not matter where BHO was born because he told us in his autobiography that his father was not a US citizen at the time of his birth. He is not “natural born”, just like Marco Rubio is not.

Frank Marshall Davis is the real father and Obama knows it. Google Dreams from my real father.

I think the saddest thing about the Obama eligibility issue is that courts have been dodging making a clear pronouncement on whether “natural born citizen” should be understood in light of Vattel’s notion of “native” (born in country to two citizen parents) as in Minor v. Happersett, or in light of the English common law notion of “natural subject” (subject, or citizen in our case, at the time of birth) as in U.S. v Wong Kim Ark.

Obviously, regardless of where he was born, Obama would be ineligible to be President if the Vattel notion applies.

“Birtherism”, the position that Obama was born in Kenya (a notion that seems to have originated with Obama himself, or at least with his first literary publicist) is only relevant if the common law notion applies.

If, however, Obama was born in Kenya (or rather British East Africa), and his father was, in fact, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., not as some have claimed Frank Marshall Davis, then he not only is not a natural born citizen under either standard, but unless he was secretly naturalized, he is not even a citizen of the United States, since the prevailing law at the time would not have allowed a parent under the age of 21 to transmit citizenship to a child born outside the U.S. when the other parent was a foreign national. (The specification for transmission of citizenship being the parent be resident in the U.S. for ten years, five of which were after the age of 16. Ann Dunham was 18 at the time of Obama’s birth.) Obama would be a British subject, or could have claimed Kenyan citizenship upon Kenyan independence, and/or a citizen of Indonesia based on his mother and step-father’s application on his behalf, but would not a U.S. citizen at all, were he, in fact born in British East Africa.

I’ve come to the realization that the single greatest fear of birthers is that Obama just loses the election in 2012 because the economy is terrible.

There goes your whole hobby, nobody cares about the issue anymore, and it had nothing to do with Obama being removed from office.

Obama has not addressed the born-in-Kenya bio maintained by his literary agent for 16 years and the Kenya information could only have come from Obama. There's no credible way to explain it otherwise. The fact of this official Obama biography completely validates the eligibility issue, whether the man was actually born in Kenya or lying about it for commercial and/or political purposes. Either way, he now needs to prove he was NOT born in Kenya.

And as far as I'm concerned, Obama and his mouthpieces should be hounded at every press conference about when he is going to apologize to the so-called birthers.

The truth is hate to those that hate the truth.

Original? That's tagline material, that is. I would suggest a simple correction:

"The truth is hate to those who hate the truth."

“At least by his own admission, he was a dual citizen at birth”

IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!!!

STOP! with the “dual citizen” nonsense.

What matters, is that Obama was not a “natural born citizen” AT BIRTH! He wasn't! End of discussion!

What other countries, or your parents, bestow on you in the way of citizenship, has no bearing on your U.S. citizenship.

Let me repeat that!

************What other countries, or your parents, bestow on you in the way of citizenship, has no bearing on your U.S. citizenship. *************

Your U.S. citizenship is closely guarded by the United States. Your parents can't give it away. Other countries can't take it away. Your citizenship status is automatically protected for you. You must renounce it yourself in writing or by certain specified actions, such as joining a foreign military etc., and you must have attained the age of “majority”. (sometimes 18, certainly 21).

We are talking about Obama as a child, so he was not old enough to have his citizenship status changed by ANYONE, not even himself.

http://www.americanlaw.com/dualcit.html

If he were not born in the U.S.A then it doesn't matter either. He can't be eligible for president if not born of the soil, physically born HERE!

If it comes to that, judges and politicians will interpret the term “natural born citizen” so as to make him eligible. It would be too embarrassing for them to concede that they just stood by silently and let an unqualified person serve as president for a full term.

If necessary, they could interpret natural born citizen to include an Irish potato.

Even more troubling is we have “conservative” media who refuse to cover the Eligibility story...even attacking and ridiculing those who do

By now, if you are supposedly “conservative media” and are still refusing to cover Obama Eligibility, and attacking those who want it covered....you are actively helping in Obama’s re-election

Not only has the GOP been chicken-poop scared....the so-called “conservative media” has been limp as well

The POS will have had four years to destroy this country. Funny thing is that there are people on this forum that think that the “lighter shade of fail” (aka Romney) will change any of that. We assume that Odumbo is anti-gun and anti-freedom. Romney has a proven track record of being both anti-gun and anti-freedom. So, now, tell me again how electing this other POS is going to change anything? Wake up and be men for a change...

I talk to republicans about obama’s early history and what we do know about it, and how all his documentary discrepancies point to someone who has serious citizenship problems. They tune out. They assume that I have the problem.

The average American doesn’t believe someone wold even ATTEMPT to run for president if in eligible. They don’t realize how easy it apparently is, with the press up your butt, to wholly get away with it.
