The Supreme Court is expected to rule on the constitutionality of President Barack Obama's health care law within the next week, and House Speaker John Boehner has issued a pre-emptive warning to fellow House Republicans if parts of the law are struck down: Forget about celebrating.
In a memo sent to his entire caucus Friday, Boehner warned members not to gloat over what most Republicans would see as a victory.
"[I]f the Court strikes down all or part of the president's health care law, there will be no spiking of the ball," Boehner wrote in the memo. "Republicans are focused on the economyand under President Obama's policies, our economy is struggling. We will not celebrate at a time when millions of our fellow Americans remain out of work, the national debt has exceeded the size of our nation's economy, health costs continue to rise, and small businesses are struggling to hire."

Your retuen post doesn’t make any sense. The two sentences you pulled out of the whole cloth are not in conflict with rach other.....There is no “attack” in my post. Commentary on perceived rancor yes.
If tossing gernades in every direction is your version of being conservative I’m glad you don’t think very highly of my political accumen.
The defeat of Obamacare will be due to the very nature of this horrid legislation. Boehner and the Hose Republicans did as much as they possibly could to prevent the passage of this monstrosaity. Yet you demean their efforts.
Decorum, class, etc, have nothing to do with it. As I remember it the Trojans celebrated mightily when they discovered the wooden horse and the Greeks gone from their shore. So how’d that work out for them??????
You seem to have forgotten history’s lessons. Boehner hasn’t...... He is focused on Obama’s defeat in toto. Instead of high fiving why don’t you keep your eye on the ball? I gaurantee another fast ball is coming at your head via Obama and company. The Republic won’t be safe until he and his ilk are out of government entirely.
“And THIS isn’t “spiking the football”?”Yep iut is no question....
Look at where it got them....Thrown out of office/power, and their crappy legislation, rammed down our throats, dispite bi-partisan objections, on a purely partisan vote, on the verge of being overturned by the USSC....
And some would have us emmulate them???? God save us. There’s an ongoing war with liberalism to be won. Boehner is right... stay focused on the ball.

Looks like an attack to me, and a personal one on most of the respondents in this thread? We can't attack Boehner, but it is OK for you to attack us? Got it.
I'm not tossing grenades in every direction, just at Boehner. That is undeniably clear. Straw man fail.
The Trojan Horse analogy is not apropos. We can celebrate and publicize the reasons why this victory is important without losing sight of the larger battle at hand; in fact this is an integral part of that.
What “lessons of history” aside from the tortured Trojan horse analogy are you referring to? It is you who is assuming that celebration means a declaration that the war with the Left is over and won. No one else here is saying that. Once again, public celebration of this still hoped for victory, married to diligent and consistent policy education, will greatly further the impetus toward the larger goal of running the RaceMarxist and the collectivists out of power
Exactly. The media is looking for some end-zone shenanigans to report on. No need to oblige them.
We muggles, however, are free to rejoice!
Oh, absolutely. And we’ll watch the media replay it from now until election day. It’ll just be my reminder to get to the polls!
As usual Boehner shows his lack of ordinary person’s thinking/moxy. It is reasonable to treat a SCOTUSA decision as something other than a sports event. However, there is a lack of understanding of the impact on ordinary people if you close down open expression to the extent that a really wrong piece of legislation is removed.
I agree with him, Republicans should not spike the ball,
but freedom loving American people should. It won’t be a
win for a political party in a partisan game, it will be a victory for the U.S. Constitution in an ongoing battle for
freedom.
so boehner failed at repealing obamacare and now he doesnt want to be shown as a failure for punting to the SCOTUS
did they celebrate when slavery was ended? Juneteenth!
...”health costs continue to rise...”
Sowing the seed to bring it back in the form of Hillary Romney mandate.
...and that was stated with elequance!
>>> How and what in the world got to do with msm propaganda?
Your reaction. <<<
This is what I wrote about my reaction (#58)-
“??? This is not satire ???? Boehner is for real?
Think Democrats (esp. that pruneface Pelosi) would do the same vice versa?”
PO. Don’t need you to lecture me about either msm propaganda or proper reaction.
Why the Hell Not!? Nobody wanted this Piece of Crap,It was shoved down the throat of the American People,We Have to Pass it to see whats in It,Give me a Freakin Break,Republicans=Pussies
.The American people should be seen as celebrating spontaneously without the Party's leadership.
I agree with Boehner here. Congress should treat the matter seriously and not start celebrating like it was some sort of game.
The rest of us, on the other hand, should break out the bubbly.
If Boehner doesn’t want to spike the ball, fine. For Romney too. I understand that line of thinking from politicians running for office. No one likes a sore winner.
For everyone else, however, we’re going to spike it, pick it up, spike it again and repeat every single day all the way until November!
For the record, I believe he is telling the Republicans in the House. Not you. You can spike it all over the endzone if you want.
No question their reaction would be different. War dances with heads on pikes.
Totally tasteless and childlike.
There's no need to emulate that kind of behavior.

I agree as well. This isn’t some silly high school rivalry. These are serious times.
