FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A Gay Pride rainbow flag is flying high above the Fort Wayne G-M Assembly Plant. A viewer submitted a photo to WANE on Monday using our Report!t feature of a Gay Pride flag at the Fort Wayne GM Plant.
The flag is stirring controversy for some but making others like Jerry Lawson hopeful equality is on its way.
"I think that they're just setting a very huge example for Fort Wayne that equality is pretty much on its way," Lawson said.
GM put the rainbow flag up earlier this week. Officials there said they notified employees about it. They're hoping this will spark some conversation.
The President of the IPFW United Sexualities group said they already have people talking.
"It makes a statement that they're inclusive and that they celebrate diversity within their company," President of IPFW United Sexualities Chris Gunderson said.

Hey, Government Motors - I got some conversation for you.
Have you seen the new Fords, lately?
(Forgive me, dad - but things are different now...)
Here's one:
There is Power in a Union (Joe Hill- 1913)
(Chorus)
There is pow'r there is pow'r in a band of workingmen Homo-men,
When they stand hand in hand, and other body parts.
That's a pow'r, that's a pow'r
That must rule in every land
One Industrial Gay Union Grand.

I have a 95 Chevy pickup, and a 94 Buick Roadmaster, as long as GM makes parts I will keep them, when they are done they will be replaced by Toyota in all likelihood.
I will never buy another GM product.
Let the Chinese buy them, that’s where GM is spending it’s money.
look for the union label
We of the Blue Oval persuasion have long known GM builds gay vehicles.
Just sayin’ ;)
On a serious note, it will be interesting to see GM sales numbers as the admin ramps up the propaganda, but also the used car numbers. I doubt some people will want to be seen in the ‘gay vehicle’.
But at least the 2% will be able to get’em cheap.
Since I’d never buy a POS GM car to begin with, I guess I can’t say I’m going to boycott them. They are turning more and more into British Leyland every day and will meet the same fate.
Here’s a novel idea: Why don’t you focus your energy on manufacturing?
Maybe their market research has shown that a lot of people get rear-ended in GM vehicles.
It's as if the people behind this want something like that to occur, so the media can turn it into the next circus.
Here’s some conversation. Let ONLY gays buy GM products and see what happens.
Oh good, like I needed another reason to never buy another GM product in my life.
I can see/hear it now,
“Drive the USA in your Chevrogay”
GM, Ford, and Chrysler all give employee benefits to same sex domestic partners. Hetero domestic partners get, you guessed it.....nothing.
How is this fair?
Spark conversation, my foot!
This is to find out who isn’t on board with so-called “diversity” so they can get rid of them. So if someone says something “intolerant”, they can force ... er ... “recommend” that person to take indoctrination ... I mean ... “sensitivity training” and if that doesn’t work, they will fire that person.
Of course, the Muslims have nothing to worry about because they are a PC protected group and it’s okay for them to be “homophobes”.
May God have mercy on this nation.
Years ago someone sued Exxon because the tiger they put in his tank was queer and it blew the engine.
And now Leon Panetta our Sucky Defense has endorsed Gay Pride month.
Disgusting the way some people want special recognition & privileges just because of the perverted manner in which they use their body plumbing. Even more disgusting is the way huge organizations kowtow to them.
The corporation which tells the faggie groups to f*** off will discover two things: prancing queers outside its HQ, and skyrocketing stock values & sales.
Of course, who do you think buys the Volt (trick question, as the real answer is NOBODY).
Awesome! That’s made me laugh out loud!
