We can make a pretty good guess as to who the 5 RINOs were.

Why Romney isn’t using this to rhetorically bludgeon to death all coal state Dems is a mystery.

Meanwhile, Republican Sens. Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Olympia Snowe (Maine), Susan Collins (Maine), Scott Brown (Mass.) and Lamar Alexander (Tenn.) joined Democrats in opposing the resolution.

To be clear, without those republican votes, it would have been 51 to 48, to end the EPA’s tyrannical approach.

So ask yourself my friends. Is it important to have an (R) majority, or is it important to have a (C) majority?

We have got to get rid of the Democrats in our party.

Why the US parties do not have an exclusion mechanism is really beyond me. It’s making the whole system basically a one-party deal.

“Sens. Mary Landrieu (La.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.), Ben Nelson (Neb.), Mark Warner (Va.) and Jim Webb (Va.) were the five senators voting for Inhofe’s resolution. Meanwhile, Republican Sens. Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Olympia Snowe (Maine), Susan Collins (Maine), Scott Brown (Mass.) and Lamar Alexander (Tenn.) joined Democrats in opposing the resolution.”

... — leveling the playing field for power plants that already have such controls in place,” the White House said.

Why is that even a consideration?

I'm very disappointed with Kelly Ayotte, the NH (R), supposedly.
Sure mercury is bad for the fish but the cost of the program should matter also.

Summer is here with temperatures in the 90's.

Any action by the dems that will raise the cost of electricity will not be appreciated by some voters.

Obama’s Agenda 21 play is not exactly what you seem to think that it is.

Obama is playing both sides against the middle on the coal issue. We, the people are the middle. Obama only opposes East Coast Coal, most of which is on private land. Obama supports West Coast, sub-bituminous coal, which is mostly on federal land, and leased to crony partners of the Obama administration.

Obama doesn’t oppose burning sub-bituminous coal in new, expensive, “cleaner burning” coal fired power plants, but he would prefer to export the sub-bituminous coal to developing nations, who will use it to create manufacturing jobs in their own countries.

The Agenda 21 part is the exporting of our natural resources to “developing nations”, essentially reversing the historic economic pattern, and weaking the US. Without government subsidies the sub-bituminous coal could not even be given away. Like green energy, all the profit in sub-bituminous coal is in the government subsidies and deals with RR and shippers.

“Five Republicans joined 48 Democrats in blocking Inhofe’s”

I’m hoping that another FReeper will list those 5 names! Wouldn’t that mean that there was some Dems that came to support the bill?

Oh well, your energy prices will necessarily skyrocket!
