Can the Democrats really be this out of touch?
.
First, President Obama makes the claim that "the private sector is doing fine" and now Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill appears to have 'one-upped' our disconnected President with her own outrageous and false statement.
.
U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill said in an interview with the Quincy Journal that the Senate passed a budget in August in fact, we did better. Unfortunately for the Democrat U.S. Senator from Missouri, this claim is untrue.
.
The Democrat controlled U.S. Senate has shirked their sworn duties and refused to address the fiscal disaster the country is facing and has failed to pass a budget since April of 2009.
.
(Link to Daily Caller article, good read)
To make things worse, when confronted by the fact that the Democrat controlled Senate hasn't passed a budget since 2009, Sen. McCaskill said "this is Fox News and a talking point by the political right that we haven't passed a budget." Unbelievable!
.

Tea Party Express Endorsed Missouri Senate Candidate Sarah Steelman
>
Liberal Sen. McCaskill is vulnerable as Americans are fed up with her strong support of Pres. Obama's efforts to grow the size and control of the Federal Government in Washington. McCaskill can not run on her record, but her large fundraising war-chest will go a long way in attacking and maligning her conservative opponent - former Missouri State Treasurer Sarah Steelman.
Sarah is the perfect candidate to replace Sen. Claire McCaskill, one of Washingtons most liberal senators and we need your support to make sure that she represents the Tea Party in Washington D.C.
.
Obama ally and liberal Democratic Sen. McCaskill has got to go!
.
One of Tea Party Express top priorities in 2012 is to elect a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate, and we are confident that Sarah Steelman is the candidate in Missouri best suited for the job.
.
Please help Sarah Steelman match the war-chest of McCaskill by making a donation to our campaign to take back the Senate - Donate Here
Steelmans unabashed economic conservative record combined with the experience of running statewide races has prepared her to take on Senator McCaskill in what will be a tough race. We must defeat McCaskill in November, and we are ready to fight alongside Sarah in the coming months. Her early and strong support four years ago for Barack Obama revealed her true liberal inclinations to grow the government in Washington.
.
Americans are demanding real solutions to the fiscal woes facing our nation. Sarah Steelmans understanding of the economy and experience managing Missouris $19 billion annual revenue and over $3 billion in investments in the states portfolio have prepared her to tackle the issues McCaskill has failed to address during her past 5 years in Washington.
.
Please show your support for Sarah Steelman and help her beat liberal Sen. Claire McCaskill and help us take control of the Senate by donating $25, $50, $100, $500 or even more today. Donate Here.

Here is more on Steelman, who I met and saw speak a couple of times less than a month ago:

Latest Poll Shows Sarah Maintaining Strong Lead!
Sarah Steelman is strongest GOP candidate; Leads McCaskill by 12 points
.
Great news! The latest Rasmussen Report statewide survey of likely voters in Missouri shows Tea Party Express endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman with a 12 point lead over incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill--leading 51% to 39%! Sarah has maintained the strong lead established in April's Rasmussen Report and also maintains the strongest lead of the three Republican primary candidates.

Claire, you did?? I think it was in a dream where the Senate and house had only Left wingers (Liberals, Marxists, Socialists and Communists) in it and King Zero the Kenyan passed a 100 % tax for people WORKING!!
Now, Sarah Steelman could improve not only the intelligence of the Senate, but the beauty of the Senate. She is good looking -- Claire looks like she is the ugly sister of Helen Thomas.
Please no pics of Helen Thomas!! ;)

Yea, the GOP seems to follow the lead of what the dems do.
They should stand up like a man and go conservative so there would be a bit of contrast between the two parties.

Steelman is NOT the presumptive Republican nominee for the position of U.S. Senator from Missouri. She is engaged in a tough primary battle between Rep. Todd Akin(R) and a local businessman named John Brunner.
She is by no means a shoe-in for the primary win. Akin is immensely popular in St. Charles county (western part of St. Louis) where he has been the 2nd District congressman since 2001. He is typically scored ideologically as a far-right Republican which plays well in St.Charles - Missouri's largest conservative enclave. You don't win St Charles, you don't win the primary no matter how popular you may be in Jefferson City. Akin's GOP rivals are portraying him as an "Establishment" Republican although that seems to have little resonance around here.
Brunner is a former Marine officer and CEO of Vi-Jon, a private-label personal care products manufacturing company founded in 1908 by his grandparents (Germ-X hand sanitizer is their biggest seller although they manufacture over 6,000 different products). He is the "anti-establishment" candidate and well-funded.
The upshot is that any of the three would be a vast improvement over Air-Claire, but after they get done busting each other up over the primary they'll have precious few resources remaining to take on the insanely funded and experienced McCaskill. Even though Missouri broke for McInsane (barely) in the general in 2008, St. Louis and Kansas City inner-city Dim fraud is rampant and well organized. As a matter-of-fact, it was her shenanigan's with the polls in St. Louis city that put her over the top in her defeat of Jim Talent in '08.
The inability of the MO GOP to rally around a single candidate (Akin is the best of the lot, in my estimation) probably spells doom and will guarantee another 6 years of this woman in the Senate, unfortunately.

And working on getting more people informed.

“they’ll have precious few resources remaining to take on the insanely funded and experienced McCaskill.”
Air Clare has been sending me solicitations for $$$ for the last several months. I’ve been sending back her prepaid mailers with shingles, junk mail, pennies and other assorted heavy items.

She is the Tea Party candidate.
Yea, the GOP doesn't know how to run a primary, or anything else unfortunately.
If Steelman was a shoo in, there would be no need to help her out.
Your assumptions are a bit over the top.
Love Liberty, promote the Tea Party Canididates!
Oh and relating to another comment of yours, I doubt the GOP cares if the nasty lying dem wins.
After all, McCain all but voted for Obama some three.5 years ago

Steelman speaking at one of the tea parties during TPX6 national tour:
She had a stalker, followed her around everwhere video taping her:
In this case being as the Tea Party was on private property, he had to film from a lot next door.

Don’t panic. All 3 leading GOP candidates for the seat are acceptable and they all lead the execrable McCaskill. She is as good as gone.

Yes they can be this out of touch, assuming of course they were ever in touch to begin with. What the letter to your local paper should say is something to the effect that today's DemocRat party is way, way past the passive socialism promoted by FDR to the point it is killing the golden goose. Stirred ‘em real good here locally!
