This is all egotism. These people don’t cringe they revel they get to feel superior. Meanwhile they’ve forgotten the point of language is to communicate, if people hear what you said and understand it the way you intended you said it right enough. Language evolves, suck it up.

No, just this once I think we’ll let the slobs and incompetents suck it up. If this injures discostu’s precious self-esteem...well, that sounds like a personal problem to me. I am tired of the way they’ve trashed a world of logic, order, elegance, and beauty.
This may be the first time in history in which language evolution has been driven by underage children. It's more revolution (or coup, perhaps) than evolution. Time will tell if the changes are benign or malignant.
