I think he sees himself as having evolved in the Darwinian sense of the word. I think all of liberalism tries to assist in that process and they want to see and believe the results in their own lifetimes, which is why Hollywood and the left-leaning media are so heavily relied upon.

His deeply-rooted issues of wrenching and unresolved angst trace back to those repeated bouts in the high school toilets, where on a daily basis he was knocked senseless by his peers for being the same stench-festered weiner we see babbling on the idiot box to this day (if we have the rare combination of poor judgement and cast-iron stomach required to pause on his channel mid-surf).

The only remarkable distinction revealed from his youth was that he allegedly remains the only guy ever to graduate his public alma mater who regularly got the snot thumped out of him by the cheerleaders.
