SIERRA VISTA — A 30-year-old man has been booked into the county jail on sexual assault and kidnapping charges following an alleged incident that occurred early Sunday morning in Sierra Vista.
Police were contacted by a woman reporting the assault at about 3:34 a.m. that morning. Shortly thereafter, Pedro Pedregal-Ramirez was located in his residence and taken into custody.
According to the probable cause statement submitted with his arrest, Pedregal-Ramirez, who also goes by the name Jovany Ramirez Augustin, is an acquaintance of the victim and rode with her to her home that morning where the alleged assault took place.
After he was taken into custody, a warrant was obtained to search his person and the house he was living in.
During the interview, Pedregal-Ramirez also told investigators that he was residing in the United States illegally.

Not to distract from the illegal bash-fest but this is BS and I don’t see how police can arrest some guy only on the say so of some woman crying rape. Most likely scenario is that after the bars closed down they went back to her place had sex then he went home. After the fact she decides it wasn’t good for her (who knows why but usually they regret the act and in order to cover up the fact that they’re a slut they cry rape, happens all the time). So she calls the cops has him roused out of bed and hauled off to jail were he’ll stay until the prosecutor gets him to plead out to some reduced charge. All in all a big waste of time, money and the life of one poor illegal sucker.
Guess he should have stayed across the border.
Just another poor soul trying to better his life by doing the raping that Americans won’t do.
