CBS reports that when Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin met with the press after their long private discussion, "The two men barely looked at each other. You could just feel, sort of, the tension between them. And the body language really represented how far apart the two leaders remain on the issue of Syria."

The only downside, for Obama, is that his Saudi masters are pissed at him for not unilaterally bombing the hell out of Assad. As far us real Americans, the Russians helping kill fanatic Muslims is all good. We need to send Putin letters of appreciation.

Meanwhile we need to convert existing vehicles to natural gas and build new ones to run on it, ramp up natural gas production, and also export it to Europe. The collapse of world oil prices when we sharply cut back on our 9 to 12 million a day imported oil habit would, as a side effect, cut Putin’s nuts off. No revamped military for him.

I don’t think this is accurate. I’d have much more respect for a Chicago mobster. A more appropriate term for Obama is a Chicago race hustler.

As for Putin, he is KGB, but is not some mindless thug. And, unlike the fawning, mindless Press in this country, I’m sure he wasn’t impressed by Obama in the least. He probably could barely keep a straight face in that meeting. Or maybe he didn’t even care to try.

I’m not completely sure what to make of all this. I do think Obama got his lunch handed to him.

My take is that after Obama's statement that he'd "have more flexibility after the election"; he's trying to come off as though he and Putin are at odds with each other. In reality, they probably see eye to eye. This is just metrosexual Obama "acting butch".
