MIAMI BEACH, Fla. On the heels of the discovery of a 1991 publicity brochure stating Barack Obama was born in Kenya comes the unearthing of a 1990 Vanity Fair article stating Obama grew up in Singapore, not in Indonesia.
In both instances, the question immediately arises: Who was the source of the information that contradicts Obamas accepted narrative?
In the case of the born in Kenya brochure, its almost certain that Obama was the source,
-snip-
Was Obama the source of the raised in Singapore statement in the Vanity Fair profile, or was it an error by the writer and editors?
At the time of the 1990 article, Obama was the newly elected first black president of the Harvard Law Review

Doesn't Neal Boortz know how to get a hold of his sister? Since he is on our side (sort of, he's a Libertarian) then couldn't we just ask him?
I would guess that had she anything worth adding to the discussion, we likely would have heard of it by now, but of course one never knows for sure.
Screw you. I’m still waiting for you to post ONE WORD OF PROOF of your repeated assertion that Obama was in the care of some Catholic charity in CT.
You’ve been challenged time and again to do this, and not just by me.
Personally, I think your paychecks are probably signed by, “Obama for America.”
Boortz is a Libertarian, but he’s dismissive of Birther claims. I don’t know his sister’s politics, either. I wouldn’t expect much help from Boortz.
For a kid who grew up poor, he sure got around the world. Must never have stayed in a school long enough to make any friends who remember him either. Don’t hear a lot from extended family, neighbors or friends of his mother or grandparents who happen to all be dead. Did his mother who died just before he took office ever visit him when he was a senator? Is he for real or should we just assume he materialized as an adult just in time to become POTUS. Gee, I think I have seen a movie with a similar storyline.

You have to get the information directly from the eyewitness; otherwise, it’s hearsay.
It’s unfortunate there is so much emotion attached to Obama’s ineligibility. Yesterday, Judge Lewis proffered an example of an American born person who moved to Tehran, Iran, renounced his U.S. citizenship, and began a populist campaign of anti-American rhetoric in Iran. And then he asked plaintiff’s attorney, Larry Klayman, if the individual would be ineligible to be POTUS.
Klayman stammered and stumbled. He should have directly stated, “Anyone who moves out of the U.S. and renounces their U.S. citizenship can never be POTUS because they are not a U.S. citizen after the Certificate of Loss of Nationality is issued and their loyalty is questionable.”
IIRC, the Duckworth article was corrected a week after publication.
IIRC, it wasn't corrected online. If they did a print correction a week later, it still doesn't explain why it was wrong in the first place and whether the excuse holds water.
I also think this is the most likely scenario. I first noticed the amazing resemblance to Malcolm X in 2008. This was the most likely explanation I could imagine that would account for Obama’s meteoric rise within the ranks and the enthusiasm of his handlers who propelled him through our higher education system and the political realm. Of course, I could be wrong. But the alternatives are far more sinister.
Since Hawaii, the 57th state, is in Asia it stands to reason that Singapore is in Indonesia.

“He lived in Indonesia, for crying out loud, for much of his childhood; that and Hawaii. Well guess what? I lived in Hawaii too, and I can tell you that as a student in Hawaiian schools you werent exactly saturated with American culture and history. Hawaiian history? Sure. And thats understandable. Hawaiians are very proud of their heritage. But U.S. history? Only what the schools absolutely had to include. And that private school, Punahou, that Obama went to in Honolulu? Heres another guess what? My sister taught there; right around the time that Barry was a student. Again not a place where youre going to learn what a blessing it is to be an American and a citizen of the greatest nation on earth ever.”
Boortz’s wiki page says nothing about Hawaii.
About Duckworth: wikipedia says (fwiw), “Duckworth was born in Bangkok, Thailand, to Frank and Lamai S. Duckworth. Her father (died 2005) was a former longtime member of the U.S. military who traced his family roots in America all the way back to the Revolutionary War; her mother, a native of Thailand, is of Chinese ancestry. She has one brother, Tom. Her family moved around Southeast Asia due to her father’s work with the United Nations and international companies, and she is fluent in both Thai and Indonesian.
The family settled in Hawaii when she was 16.”
Her father worked for the UN and international companies. They moved around Southeast Asia, and since she speaks Indonesian, one can assume some time in Indonesia. SAD worked for USAID in Jakarta and taught expat little kids, around Maya’s age. Duckworth was born in 1968, so between Obama and his sister Maya. (Genevieve Cook was also in Jakarta simultaneously with Obama, as were the Geithners.) Is it possible that Duckworth knew Obama in Jakarta and in Hawaii, or perhaps in Singapore, too?
Or was the correction really a fix? With this clown, it's hard to tell.
Information keeps coming out. I would suggest that there may be a thawing between we "birthers" and previous scoffers. Even El Sordo admitted he was wrong about Obama misleading everyone regarding where he was born.
Apart from that, I suspect the level of cooperation might depend on how he is approached.
My point was that we could use him to make contact with his sister. It is HER we would be asking the questions of.

No argument there.
Here’s the online correction. http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2006/Jan/08/ln/FP601080334.html
Don’t know when it was actually corrected.
However, I’m sure Ms. Duckworth simply “misremembered” Obama’s narrative. /s
And of course there’s no way to verify that the correction was made to the print edition in January 2006 and why it took a week to make that correction. The noted as posted online didn’t show up in 2006, but only after the story was being discussed in 2008 or 2009.
“no way to verify”
Ain’t it somethin’ how that’s always the case with Obama?
I made an inquiry.
I have not heard back yet.
Have you had any results?
You wanted a clue and I gave you one. Why would I investigate my own clue?
