Even presidents have to prepare. Straight out of central casting, the Obama campaign has asked Senator John Kerry, D-Mass., to stand in for Mitt Romney in mock debates. The news first appeared via The Washington Post.
Like Romney, Kerry hails from Massachusetts. But the similarities don't stop there. Both come from wealthy families, both are tall and lean, and both have glorious heads of hair. And they both know their way around a podium.

Obama's chief strategist David Axelrod said, "There is no one that has more experience or understanding of the presidential debate process than John Kerry. He's an expert debater who has a fundamental mastery of a wide range of issues, including Mitt Romney's Massachusetts. He's the obvious

Sometimes the jokes just write themselves.
Anything that keeps Mitt out is good!
right?
Mitt is McCain squared.
After Obama’s; second term we must work to make sure Hillary can thwart any new attempts by Mitt! /sarc
John Kerry? Didn’t he serve in Viet Nam?
Kerry. Yeah, that’s the ticket. A guy so clueless in debate that his appearances in 1971 with a junior lieutenant on Cavett were nearly scrubbed from the internet and networks during his ‘08 campaign. His sole debate advantage is the big lie, a strategy with which Obama’s already familiar.
The hard part will be Kerry leaning more to the left in order to accurately depict Mittens.
Not to mention that Romney and Kerry both earned their money the hard way.
Kerry married his money. Romney worked for his. I'm not following you.
Unless, they do it on a golf course, it won’t happen.
Anything that gives us four more years of Obama is to be avoided, no matter how bad it tastes.
hehehe. That's why the dull witted Dubya Bush made hash out of him, him and his "global test."
Romney earned his. Kerry married his. What is your point, exactly?
If Obama gets a second term he’ll have a third and more.
Are you an American living in another nation? Do you not feel what this man has done to us?
John McCain! I’d vote for Al Gore if he was the only option other than this anti-American, self-proclaiming (until ABC News corrected him) Muslim in the White House.
He will portray Romney is a style reminiscent of Jen-gis Khan.
“Kerry married his money. Romney worked for his. I’m not following you.”
Exactly right! What does that have in common with Kerry the gigolo who TWICE married into money?
I also don’t think Romney ever was homeless and slept in his car (actually given to him from a now defunct car dealer) between wives, but Kerry sure did, at least on the nights he didn’t crash on his brother’s couch.
Romney sucks, but folks should get the facts straight when denigrating him.
HEADS-UP!
The BIGGEST thing John Kerry and Mitt Romney have in common is that they are back pedaling flip-floppers and Obama wants to practice on how to deal with back-pedaling excuses for all of the flip-flops he will encounter with Romney on the stage during the debates.
This tells us that Obama will focus on Romney then and Romney now. Obama’s going to try to peg Romney as a flip-flop say anything he can to get elected.
ps: that will not be difficult to do because that IS Mitt Romney
It’s the trait of flip-flopping and back pedaling and I was for it before I was against it that gets Kerry this job
There is plenty to hate about Romney without making sh-t up.
That being said, this lunacy of advocating 4 more years of Obama (not you two, I’m just venting) on this Conservative website has GOT to stop. We have no idea what the world is going to look like three weeks from now, much less four years from now.
You play to win the game.
If you really want to know why John Kerry was picked watch this 5 minute debate between Romney and Kennedy.
It is the trait of taking all sides of issues and the excuses he uses to justify his wavering of the issues that makes Kerry a great one to practice with.
