Thank you. Nobody, not even Hugin or I, ever said that his site NEVER read this way. That’s not the question! Is this how it always read?

And yes I know that missing a student loan payment can get the government hounds turned loose on you, making it hard to live. I’m still not sure it ought to be called a living expense... OK, so that splits hairs. Anyone here willing to write him a check for THAT?

So, how did his other site(s) read?

Was there a second site, feeding into a GZ Paypal account, with a different fund raising appeal?? We need links and screenshots.

The only other site I'm aware of is the one O'Mara put up, gzlegalcase.com. It's not relevant here, since it was set up after the events in question. However, on 1 May, it did post the following (emphasis added):

An independent administrator has been chosen to oversee the George Zimmerman Defense Fund. The third-party administrator is a former IRS agent, and currently works as a CPA with experience managing Chapter 7 Trustee Funds.

The legal defense fund, as initially envisioned by George Zimmerman, as stated on his now-closed website, was set up to provide for living expenses and to fund costs and legal fees associated with his defense. This will also be the purpose of the new legal defense fund.

The fund's administrator will have sole discretion regarding the dispersal of funds, and guidelines will be put in place to define reasonable living expenses for Mr. Zimmerman and his family and to fund necessary legal expenses. Neither Mr. Zimmerman nor The O’Mara Law Group will have direct access to the funds.

There will be a strict level of confidentiality regarding those who donate to the George Zimmerman Defense Fund as their active donating is regarded as a private event and does not open them to public scrutiny.

While we are recommending a level of transparency regarding the use of these funds, that transparency is most appropriately afforded to the donors, as they are the source of the funds utilized.

Well, since you are the one claiming that GZ's website said at one time that the donations would all be used for legal expenses, you are the one who needs to show proof. I, for one, did donate to therealgeorgezimmerman.com shortly after it went up, and living expenses were listed. I have no problem with them paying off bills of any kind with my money.

I DO have a problem with some of my money being confiscated because of Judge Lester violating GZ's right to confront his accusers and his right to have adequate notice of the motion to revoke bond at the hearing that was supposed to be about media access to the discovery materials.
