ICE Agent Jaime Zapata and his partner, Victor Avila, were ambushed at a fake roadblock in Mexico. Were they set up? If so by whom?

The National Border Patrol Council, which represents all 17,000 of the agency's nonsupervisory agents, called Monday for the resignation of Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. for his role in the botched "Fast and Furious" gunrunning operation that resulted in the death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.
Council President George E. McCubbin III, a 25-year Border Patrol veteran, described Mr. Holder's actions in the case as "a slap in the face to all Border Patrol agents who serve this country," adding that the attorney general showed "an utter failure of leadership at the highest levels of government."
Two semi-automatic AK-47 assault weapons found at the scene of the Dec. 15, 2010, killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry were traced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to "straw buyers" who bought the weapons as part of the Fast and Furious investigation.
The agent died during a gunfight with heavily-armed Mexican bandits along the U.S.-Mexico border south of Tucson, Ariz.
More than 2,000 weapons purchased during the ATF-led Fast and Furious operation were "walked" to drug smugglers in Mexico. More than 600 of them still are missing.
Mr. McCubbin said Border Patrol agents are indoctrinated from day one of their training that "integrity is their most important trait and that without it, they have little use to the agency." He said agents who lie or show a lack of candor are disciplined quickly.
"The standard that applies to these agents should at a minimum be applied to those who lead them," Mr. McCubbin said. "If Eric Holder were a Border Patrol agent and not the attorney general, he would have long ago been found unsuitable for government employment and terminated."

Oh my .... as the Libs are fond of saying 'speaking truth to power'.
FBI Criminal Informant Complicit in Brian Terrys Death (PJM Exclusive)Previously, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terrys death in Peck Canyon, Arizona was described as a chance meeting that led to a firefight: an illegal alien rip crew working for the Sinaloa cartel was hoping to find other illegal aliens and to rob them at gunpoint. Instead, they stumbled across a Border Patrol unit and murdered Agent Terry.
Last week, the Washington Times offered a new version of the encounter: they reported that the rip crew was not hunting illegals, but Border Patrol teams with the intention of engaging them in combat.
Sources now tell PJ Media that neither version of events is accurate: the rip crew was not waiting for a chance encounter with other illegals, nor did the members intend to engage American law enforcement agents.
The rip crew was in Peck Canyon that evening with the intention of stealing money and drugs from a specific shipment of which they had prior knowledge.
(snip)
The rip crew knew to be in Peck Canyon that December evening because a CI working for the FBI found out about a smuggling run from the FBI.
(snip)
A source tells PJM that the FBI knew from wiretaps that the CI was using their information to set up an ambush. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) through its own CIs and communications intercepts was also aware of the planned assault. Neither the DEA nor FBI warned Border Patrol about the expected criminal activity.
(snip)
Multiple sources tell PJM that this third weapon disappeared because it was the weapon carried by the FBI CI who ran the rip crew. When it was recovered near the scene of the murder and subsequently traced by the ATF, it traced back to the FBI CI via the gun shop in Texas where it was purchased.
(snip)
Neither agency bothered to warn Border Patrol to keep their BORTAC teams out of Peck Canyon that evening. As a direct result of this FBI and DEA failure combined with Homeland Security forcing BORTAC units to carry less-lethal beanbag rounds in some of their primary weapons Brian Terrys under-armed four-man unit walked into an ambush against a heavily armed rip crew, at least five of whom were carrying rifles.
Brian Terrys murder was entirely preventable. The incompetence of the DEA and FBI let his Border Patrol unit walk into an ambush. After the ambush, it appears the FBI tampered with evidence to cover up that one of their informants was involved with the murder of a federal agent.

More pressure for Holder to resign.
Thanks for the link to Agent Jamie Zapata’s murder. Holder should being doing time after being convicted for his actions in both agents murders.
Holder isn’t going anywhere as long as Obama is in the White House. The two are too well tied together in this F&F scam.
I do hope that Council President George E. McCubbin III, is aware that his career is over and that he will be lucky to get his pension.
Amen to the NBPC...
“The National Border Patrol Council, which represents all 17,000 of the agency’s nonsupervisory agents, called Monday for the resignation of Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.”
What good will it do? If a tree falls in the woods...
I would think that Holder could also be indicted as an accessory to murder in the death of a federal agent.
That’s exactly what should take place but it’s probably not going to happen, he’s as slippery as an eel.

Thanks Jaz, here’s hoping ole “Eric the Red” is soon looking at 25 to life.
Here’s another very interesting article...

Honor First (BP motto)
Eric the WithHolder’s chickens seem to be coming home to roost.
Lies catch up with you eventually.
It seems he's a leftist climber who got the ear of Obama and is now his lapdog, hatchet man and most everything else.
I remember when Issa wanted to contact O’Reilly and he was transferred to Iraq, supposedly in a State position and it sounds like Issa still hasn't had access to him.
Little wonder our foreign relations and national security have taken such a dive with Obama running everything by McDonough. It also looks very much like McDonough is smack in the middle of the Fast and Furious tragedy.
I was skeptical of Gen. Jones when he became NSA for Obama but after Jones saying this about McDonough:
Its a big asset for all of us to have Denis, who has known the president for so long, General Jones said.
I'm a lot more skeptical and it sounds like McDonough squeezed out Jones.
You might wanna read Smooth’s linked article, TigersEye.
Couldn’t agree more, the three of them should be wearing stripes.
