Rubio changes all that. Rubio is a Tea Party favorite. He energizes the Tea Party. Rubio brings Tea Party voters to the polls in droves. Not that I have seen as of late. And all Romney sees of the Tea Party is in his rear-view mirror as he stomps on the gas on his way back leftward for the general election.

So, Obama panders to Hispanics, Romney should also? My God, where has character gone in those who play out political game?

No! We shouldn’t deal with identity politics and no to an Establishment Pet in Rubio! He is no conservative but is handsome and makes good speeches which some deem those attributes to be enough for high office. He has ties to the Bushes and Romneys for quite awhile and most of his legislative push is not even TeaParty like
To: bcsco
Romney isn’t pandering to anyone. He is simply refusing to get sucked in.
Period.
Romney so far, is working out just fine.
To: Kaslin
Why do we want to win the open border Latino vote? I was hoping he would pick someone with a little more experience like Gingrich or a real conservative like Palin.

Romney isnt pandering to anyone. He is simply refusing to get sucked in.That's true as far as his refusal to respond negatively to Obama's decision. But to now go out and announce his pick for VP this early (right after Obama's announcement), and make it Marco Rubio, or some other Hispanic, would be pandering to the same ethnic group. Face it.

Well ... although I DESPISE Myth Romney ...
"Credit to where credit is due ..."
Myth should keep his VP choice a total secret ... until (of course if ain't gonna happen) ...
his acceptance speech in Tampa ...
That's politics 101 ...
Of course ... my theory is STILL that Myth doesn't get the GOP 2012 Nomination ...
It's gonna be Newt and Sarah ...
Myth's CONSTANT PATHELOGICAL lying and "severe" attempts to DESTROY genuine Conservatives will be his downfall ...

It’s the wrong game to get into for Romney, the whole immigration reform trap. On the other hand, he should be pressing Obama’s anti Christian policies, and building support among Hispanic Catholics. Romney should be pointing out that Americans want work, and can’t find it, while Obama encourages more illegal immigration. Romney should become the work candidate, the free speech candidate, and the religious freedom candidate, not the next idiot to get snared in the immigration reform trap. ...I like Rubio, though not on this issue, and I think he would be a good VP choice, but so would Allen West.

RE :”
Obama believes he has checked Romney with Latino voters with his latest announcement. He will walk on the stage in Orlando to a thunderous heros welcome. He will discuss how Latino youth brought illegally to this country, through no fault of their own, will no longer have to lie awake at night fearing deportation to a strange country they no longer recognize. And he we will receive a standing ovation.
......
Mitt Romney must walk onto that same stage and upstage Obama. This is the place and time for the announcement of the year. Mitt Romney coolly steps up to the microphone and says, Its time for a Latino to join a Presidential ticket. Its time for the fastest growing group in America to have a seat at the table of power. To have a voice in the White House. Today
right here
right now
Im going to change the game
forever. Today you get your seat at the table. Today we change American politics
forever. Ladies and gentleman, allow me to introduce my Vice Presidential running mate United States Senator Marco Rubio.” Marco walks out to embrace Mitt Romney while the crowd stands, screams, and cheers! Tears stream down cheeks.”
Romney's ‘self deportation’ position is history. He doesn't need the primary voters he fooled anymore.
I have no doubt Rubio is a good person and would help Romney with Hispanics but he never said a word while Romney was lying his way through the primary beating on Perry and Newt with his anti-amnesty positions, long gone now. Now rubio will join Romney so he can flip 180 degrees?

Romney has basically said he wants nothing to do with the conservative base. He refused to go to a single pro life or pro family event he was invited to. He made the statement conservatives will vote for him. He is wrong, many, many will never vote for him and the cherry on top is his arrogant attitude towards social conservative. People criticize conservatives, saying they are going to give the obama the win, but no one is blaming romney for refusing to acknowledge us. Besides the fact that he knows he can't attend our events, because he will have to answer why he says one thing (he's a conservative) then enacted legislation that was anti-conservative and then lies about it. Romney is starting out with a worse conservative record than obama did & we are told to trust him. You don't trust someone who has lied, cheated and stolen. My daughter-in-law and her family, supported McCain but said they will not support romney. They are not social conservatives, but thinks romney is a “gold-digger” and is more worried about money than anything. They think he represents the lobbiest and will continue what obama is doing. It's not just the social conservatives who don't like him, it's a lot of other people. They say they won't vote.

I can't put my finger on it. I have no hard evidence. But my Spidey-Sense tells me that Rubio would become a Democrat tomorrow if he thought it would get him within a heartbeat of the White House.

Read the article. I’m responding to an article that recommends exactly that: Obama announces Amnesty. So Romney, in order to seal the election, should announce his VP pick as Rubio. That’s pandering, and it would be seen as such.

Little Marco is bought and paid for like nearly every other congressman in Washington. He recently voted to keep funding federal subsidies for Big Sugar.

I would celebrate with you should a Gingrich/Plain ticket emerge from Tampa. But you know that is not going to happens so pushing for that as all or nothing will result in a few more hundred thousand suppressed votes/turnout. I’m beginning to see a pattern here, romantische Krieger.
