The business of Progressives Democrats is to go on making mistakes. The business of the Conservatives Republicans is to prevent the mistakes from being corrected."
Good report on Pflouffe’s answers, but you forgot, “Chris, I see the Capitol in the background behind you ...”
Well, we always said Karl Rove as a b’turd.
Matthews bringing up Nixon as an into to his show on public distrust of politicians.
Compared to Obama’s scandal ridden White House Mafia, Nixon was an innocent victim.
Juan tried the liberal interrupting tactic and Rove wasn’t going to let him. That was the best part of the show.
Haven’t gotten that far on my DVR yet, but you’ve got me anxious to see it.
Trotting out the Nixon card?
I can’t believe it. Nixon was a sugarplum prince compared to what this administration has gotten up to. they would do well to avoid the comparison ...
Except that people don’t really remember much about what Nixon actually did and just lump him in with Stalin, Hitler and other arch villains.
I never thought Nixon was that much of a villain at all.
In 2010 when I was doing this for the Key House Races, it was interesting to see how the composite polls from the "experts" diverged until a few weeks before the election, when they suddenly all came together. Some people attribute it to the undecideds remaining on the fence until the end. I attribute it to the "experts" astroturfing one side for as long as possible in the hope of swaying undecided voters to join the supposed masses, and then scrambling at the end to match reality.
We shall see.

Which is precisely the thought I had when I saw Obamugabe DENY White House involvement in the release of sensitive materials. He just CHANGED the label on the material and *poof*, it can be released "ethically".
It is just like the idiot MAKING IMMIGRATION LAW without Congress. He calls it "policy" and not "law". His "policy" is not to enforce the LAW. Same with Defense of Marriage Act.
He is anti-Constitutional, anti-Christian, anti-American. He MUST be fired in November. I hope in a landslide.
Nixon was only guilty of looking guilty. There is real questions to the validity of Deep Throat and the tapes really didn’t show anything that wasn’t done by both parties all the time.
Many believe the break-in was to get proof that Howard Dean’s wife was a hooker out of Dem hands. If you read the Watergate transcripts you continually ask what did he do that was illegal?
I remember in 1980 all the pollsters telling us Reagan and Carter were in a dead heat going into the election. The mistake they made was basing their assumption on the 1976 results which were abnormally slanted to the Democrat side due to the fall out of Watergate. I think 2008 was a similar year to 1976 thus the pollsters should be careful about making too much of the 2008 results in forecasting 2012.
At least, for a change, all three have been quite vocal (particularly Graham) on blasting the White House for all the intel leaks to make BHO look good.
The Deep Throat guy was out of a job and did not have direct access to secrets he was divulging to Bernstein toward the end. So who exactly was Deep Throating Deep Throat? Too bad there were no investigative reporters available to figure that out.
And, of course, the actual outcome of the DNC break-in was that Nixon won 49 states in the 1972 election. Without knowledge of the Democrat election strategy, it was possible that Nixon may have only won 45 states. Obviously a major turning point in American history. And nobody died as a result of Watergate. Nobody even broke a nail.
Not at all like the Gulf of Tonkin incident. But that came from Lyndon Johnson, the Son of Satan who also brought us the "Replace Daddy with a Welfare Check" legislation in the Great Society paperwork.
And the more I think about it, Barack Hubris Obama does remind me more of Lyndon Johnson than Jimmy Carter. At least Johnson recognized his personal situation and dropped out of the 1968 election. Obama will have to be removed kicking and screaming.
The worst part of the show was Kristol and Rove supporting the Dream Act. Kristol is an idiot. Unfortunately, he represents the GOP Establishment’s position on the issue.
I love it!
the Libs today on the shows are very anxious..Get Plouffe an IV drip with Valium!
The Maroon, editor of the Nation magazine, she actually said,”Its the consumers who create jobs!” HA HA HA. tHE HAVE NO CLUE AS TO HOW CAPITALISM WORKS.
then she goes on, about the
dream act was part of the dream...comparing it to the Emancipation Act..will corrects her it was part of the War Act.
Pawlenty on now...with Will.
Wow, in the last 4 minutes, they put Pawlenty on, stephy was afraid to have him on earlier.
My head is spinning...the stupidity of the Left, rather, the Ignorance is unbelievable.
And what is with Goolsby ‘s eyes. He is bizzare in his comments, not even rational.
We just watched an episode of “Veep”, now watching David Plouffe being interviewed. I think David is a cast member on “Veep”.
David Ploof is a lying Flucke!
