If these two want to help mexicans over US citizens might I suggest they both move to mexico.....
Weasel words from the Governor who repeatedly warned his gardeners about hiring illegals.
Even though I disagree with the entire issue, Romney did it right. He basically neutralized Obama’s attempt to differentiate himself from Romney on the question of a long term solution to the disaster created by our dysfunctional government that places politics before the will of America’s REAL citizens and the law.
Regardsless of the pre-election politics that are being played here, the issue will have to be addressed if Obama is thrown out, and America can clean up its fiscal priorities, due to the cost to the American taxpayer to support illegals which is HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS per year (all aspects and impacts of illegals) — a staggering sum.
Duh.
As with most other ‘problems’ facing America, today, all that is needed is to ENFORCE the CURRENT LAWS on the books.
For this one:
1. Secure the border
2. Arrest and deport
3. Arrest those aiding and abetting the insurgency
4. Repeat from step 1
It ain’t rocket science...
Good Lord and people call me a troll when I say that Obama and Romney are one in the same....Good Grief.
Willard is just kowtowing to the GOPe. The GOPe likes their cheap Meh-hican labour. Shamnesty has no place in US law. It’s racism. This is a LOSING issue.
They don't praise Obama's usurpation of congressional authority in any way but instead condemn it as a 'short-term solution' to the 'immigration problem'. A mild criticism, at best but one that keeps their options open so that if there is a huge backlash on this, Romney/Rubio can hammer Obama all day long on this action. However, if the polls show citizens approve of this (I hope not), they cannot be accused of being anti-immigrant and their tepid disapproval now won't be an issue in the campaign.
Weak? You bet - but they're politicians, not crusaders and certainly not conservatives. Still, no matter how calculated, it's not a bad response. Let's hope the opposition to this latest Obama outrage is big and sustained, as it should be.
My concern is that all the media blather about how 'humane' and 'compassionate' this partial, de facto amnesty is will resonate with the gullible public that won't stop to consider the very negative ramifications making millions of illegal aliens 'legal' will have on our economy, culture and politics. They'll find out - too late.
Enforce the law!!!!!!
Calculated is right. What would our founding fathers think of a man who can't stand up to evil. He is more worried about looking pretty or sounding pretty then governing like a stateman. He has to “create” who he is. How pathetic.
Virgil Goode is pushing for a moratorium on immigration. Some politicians aren’t wimps. just sayin’...
Whatever it takes!
Seeing Rubio and ROmeny mentioned quite a bit lately. Is this whom he is taking on as a VP? Take your bets everyone.
Where did “close the borders first” go? Without that, amnesty is just another scam by the GOP-DEM-E on Americans.
Well, Newt Gingrich said much the same thing and I don’t recall him being vilified on this site.
