"I believe the status of young people who come here through no fault of their own is an important matter to be considered, and should be solved on a long term basis so they know what their future would be in this country," Romney said after a campaign stop in Milford, New Hampshire.
"I would like to seek legislation that deals with this issue and I happen to agree with Marco Rubio as he looked at, considered this issue, he said that this is an important matter that we have to find a long term solution," Romney said.
"I think the action that the president took today makes it more difficult to reach that long term solution because an executive order is, of course, a short term matter and can be reversed by subsequent presidents," Romney said.
In December, Romney said he would veto the DREAM Act if he were president, saying instead he would support a path to residency not citizenship for those who served in the military, but not other DREAM Act proposals.
Later, Romney gave a more detailed version of his stance, tell supporters at a fund-raiser in Florida Republicans needed to offer their own version of the DREAM Act.
"We're going to be able to get Hispanic voters," Mr. Romney said at the private event, which was overheard by a reporter for the Wall Street Journal. "We're going to overcome the issue of immigration."

I’m thinking `Butch’ Kagan must have squealed to her Master that the Supremes have held for Arizona, and Zero is taking a preemptive strike.
Let’s see if the holding comes out soon, within the next few days.
Instead of just reacting off of the headline, read the article. Romney disagrees with Obama on this issue.

That is the small town I grew up in. Check out the demographics. 30 yrs ago it was mostly white farmers. What do you think the additional illegals are gonna do to their already 40% unemployment? That’s right, I said 40%. And every single one of them has kids on food stamps, WIC, medical, and cash aid.
Mozilla, why don’t you post the actual title of the article which is:
Romney: Obama immigration move makes long term fix harder
I think it’s pretty obvious now that we nominated the wrong guy. He spent all day trying to come up with a response to this, and all he could do was take the Marco Rubio line. Compassionate Conservativism has just become even more compassionate. Looks like Obama’s going to have this one in the bag if every unconstitutional move he makes is understandable to Romney.
I wondered the same thing. To do this on a Friday morning? It had to be prompted by a furtive phone call from Supreme Court Justice Rosa Kleb.
We can “USE Romney” when he is President to expose him and his establishment Agenda 21 CFR Globalists for what they really are. At the same time, we will deny the communist dictator a chance to be “flexible” for Putin.
Don’t count the Tea Party out. We are angry and very focused. It’s time for the Conservatives to take over the GOP. Attend your local Tea Party meetings. Become a precinct committee person. Assist in selecting good Conservatives running for office. Let the whole country know how angry you are.
Anyone ELSE think this idiot is going to be 'pushed to the right' if he's elected President?
Point is, we don’t NEED a Dream Act of ANY kind, Myth!
We need our DREAM back and you ain’t the one to give it to us!
*sigh*
I did not post any articles.
Unfortunately, it is cheerleading season in the GOP Media, so most outlets and commentators will sweep Romney and Rubio’s amnesty endorsements under the rug. Obama know the cracks in the GOP foundation as well as I do. The liberal media are reporting that Rubio and Romney support Obama’s intentions. Romney and a lot of idiots in the GOP braintrust (including Romney voters) might just wake up the first Wednesday in November completely beside themselves; and then they’ll commence blaming the Tea Party by lunch time.
Shocking...I can’t believe the good Bishop was just painted rust this whole time. (/s)

Oh ok. Thanks for the introduction to FR, noobtroll.
“His (Perry’s) plan to secure to border was endorsed by Joe Arpaio.
He refused to talk about immigration reform until the border was secure and said within one year of taking office he would have the border secured.”
As night follows day I knew that sealing the border would be forgotten and that those with their brains stuck in neutral would keep revving that anti-Perry engine.
Thanks for keep the truth out there txrangerette.
Most people who have a ton against Romney, who nevertheless decide to vote for him, do so against the far greater threat as they perceive it of continuing a man in office for several more years who is deliberately destroying America brick by brick because he hates it.
The very idea that no President ever lied before or during office, or had a problematic life feature such as Mormonism, for example, is poppycock.
Get real.
With that criteria, there would be nobody in that office.
You look at the hand dealt to you and play it according to your best judgement and personal conscience.
Those who think Romney is so bad that they prefer Obama, that’s their choice.
Those who think Obama is so unspeakable that they prefer Romney, that’s theirs.
I don’t vote for either one, either by action or inaction, because my state of Texas will vote overwhelmingly to oust the tinpot dictator from office and doesn’t need my vote.
I’m blessed in that.
Depending on location, many are not so blessed in that way.
As you are a newcomer to FR, tell me why you should start dictating to long time posters. You come across as a disruptor and not as a contributor.
“Ain’t” it the truth?!
“It” signs on to post twice, then, nothing.
“Its” posts attack the GOP candidate (such as he is, and the vast majority of us cringe at his nomination) but deals not at all with Obama the statist dictator, the wacko LEFT Dem party or down-ticket races.
Hmmmmmmmm.....
