If the kids are given a path to citizenship, then you’d be correct.

I think it is the apex of naivete to assume they will not eventually be offered citizenship.

Once the door is opened it cannot be closed. There can be no more compromise on this issue.

Exactly right! These guys know precisely what they are doing. It’s a back door path to citizenship, and they damn well know it too.

Then we get some well meaning idiot (or otherwise), and they fall for it hook line and sinker.

For that to happen, it would require additional action by Congress.

Rubio is cutting the Democrats off in the pass with his bill, which is why Obama has done everything possible to derail it. He knows that if it passes, he would be forced to sign it into law, and it would take away the “children” card from the pro-amnesty folks (and they have no other cards to play).
