See the following article in relationship to this one about “gay pride day” in the military. The military pushes it’s various social emphases vigorously whether black awareness, female awareness, etc. Support of those emphases is a bullet on one’s efficiency report in terms of supporting equal opportunity.
In my opinion, this is terrible, terrible news, and what follows means it’s happening no matter who wins this fall.

Mitt Romney has said he’s OK with repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and as president wouldn’t work to reinstate the policy.
The 64-year-old Romney made his remarks during an interview with the Des Moines Register’s editorial board on Friday.
Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is the recently ended policy that for 18 years banned gay and bisexual troops from serving openly.
When asked, How do you feel about gays serving openly in the military, Romney answered: That’s already occurred and I’m not planning on reversing that at this stage.
But you’re comfortable with it?
Um, I was not comfortable making the change during a period of conflict, by virtue of the complicating features of a new program in the middle of two wars going on, but those wars are winding down and moving in that direction at this stage no longer presents that problem. (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
Among the GOP presidential candidates, Romney is in the minority on the issue. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and Texas Governor Rick Perry have all previously said they would bring back the military ban.

The Pentagon all done up in pink.
Words fail.
When my dad was in the army, if they found out someone was a sodomite, it meant an immediate dishonorable discharge. There’s no more shame about such a filthy practice...now the very people charged to protect our country WANT it within their ranks. WANT it!
I’m serious, I just want Jesus to come back because I have had just about all I can take.
Just trying to figure this out.
How stupid.
This is getting ridiculous. As well as disgusting. Homosexuals might want to practice what they want, but why do we have to be made so aware of it?
No wonder our kids today are so focused on sex. It is all they hear and see. We have constant concentration on sex...heterosexual or homosexual activities.
It saddens me to no end that the military with whom I spent more than half my life has turned into a social petri dish. My God, liberals make me puke. They toxify everything they touch.
Right now, former SecDef Donald Rumsfeld is being interviewed on Greta Von Susteren’s show. Now THAT’s a man who would’ve fought tooth and nail against institutionalized perversion of the Armed Forces.
Importantly, some individual will take notes, and when in the future homosexuality is again banned in the military, those individuals involved in this fiasco will be discharged.
The US military is heading for a major Reduction In Force, so why not eliminate the “defective units” first?
Not my government.
It’s my position government at every level in today’s America has been corrupted and infiltrated by extremely controlling individuals, who’s motive is to control every single thing you do in your private life and in business, buy means of taxes, fines, regulations and threats.
Are they going to attend in uniform?
Come on, Congress. Pass laws preventing this government waste, immorality and abuse. Or at least pass a law recognizing the contributions of White, Hetersexual Males to America.
Where’s the barf alert?
This is just sick!
Next they will paint the Pentagon in rainbow colors.
This whole Gay Pride month is an insult to everyone.
What is next, Friendly Jihadist Month and Arms Bazaar?
Why?
How much is this going to cost us?
Even though I spent a quiet and unheroic four years in what was the World’s Greatest Air Force, I’m proud of my service. If I were a young man today, however, I’m afraid I would not enlist. If the fire service as a whole had disgusting policies like this, I’d be out of here too.
