Gadzooks, You caught me... watching it!
While I am working to drown out... the image of J.R. in a towel, about Dallas, I can only say that I am glad it is 56 miles north of me--
Admit it, Bendy-- Even here in Spain... we know you love that kind of all out Texas drinkin' & whorin' kind'a action.
Well, when you put it that way... how can I object?
Victoria Principle has an open invitation to return but has so far declined!!!
Nuts...I forgot about it....was going to watch it ....wonder if it’s going to be replayed? I’ll DVR it...
Over at
they thought it was tainted by environmental pseudo-science
What’s a “new” Dallas? Did they re-create the city elsewhere? < /cluelessness >
The only reason(s) I ever watched the original.....
How good could it be when they purposely kept the creator off of this one?
I’d love to see them incorporate modern techniques in the show. 4-D seismic maps, etc. Cause it is really high tech these days.
Did I get it right?
Nope.
Actually the show made the alternative energy approach of methane taken from the water as a villain in the pilot, as it is possibly the cause of an earthquake in Japan.
i liked what I saw (couldn’t stay awake for the whole thing) and it looks like the penchant for the hot women from the original is intact. I also liked the story line of the girl who was with Jon Ross first after being Bobby’s girlfriend and how the breakup occurred. It looks very promising to me.
It will probably be on the TNT website, too.

I enjoyed it — once JR woke up out of his depression. New blood. New scheming. New backstabbing. When he saw John Ross kissing the women he schemed with, that was funny. JR will get even. Then, he finds out she wasn’t even the ‘she’ she was supposed to be.
I was a big fan of the original and I have to admit that last night’s premier was a lot better than the reviews. It beats the rest of the summer replacement garbage on the major networks. I found it entertaining and it was good to see the old gang back.
Ah! So more accurate than usual!
I never watched the show when it was first on- I worked in a Supermarket, and when I came in Saturday morning, the cashier and Manager's wife would yak about the previous night's show- it could all be summed up as, "That JR's a real snake in the grass".
I thought about it too late, but know it will be repeated.
I was kinda rooting for it for sentimental reasons which is odd because, although I live in Dallas, I never watched a single episode of the original series.
I must have been doing something else, but I can’t imagine what.
That was an interesting Ranger game. Opposing pitcher unhittable, only allows 3 hits.
Harrison good also.
Wash plays old-time ball. Man gets on first, next guy bunts him to second and next guy hits a single.
Rangers win one to nothing.
I am a DIEHARD Washington Redskins fan. There is no way I would EVER watch anything with Dallas in its title.
I give it a 1.
It also sets off the left wing B-S-o-meter.
If I wanted a light weight anti-palin actress I could watch PBS, CNN, or MSNBC.
First rule of successful drama series, fire the liberal writer.
I hope it suffers the same fate as GCB.
It was alright, but just cause of the old timers. I did love the fact that the intro still used the same music and cheesy lettering from back in the day.
