“Any FReeper who does not now work enthusiastically for the election of Mr. Romney is supporting the nomination of Eric Holder.... or Hillary Clinton to SCOTUS! “
meh...
Every election cycle, same old scare.
When I get ready to vote and I look down on the ballot, will I only see Obama and Romney as candidates as President?
If there are others, then the entire premise of your post is false.
The Republipukes and DemoCraps just want us to believe we only have two choices.
Last time I checked, we are living the real outcome of that scare. With as bad as McCain was, think of all the things we wouldn't be living through right now if he was elected.
In Case You Don’t Like Romney... A Challenge To Every FReeper
SCOTUS is issue #1! Who wants another Sotameyer on the court... or William Ayers!!
You'd think after all these years they'd try a different tack...
Wrong, the choice as you have presented is this: liberal or liberal.
I am not voting for a liberal in this presidential election.
I am done voting for liberals.
Romney knew this and ran (and nominated judges) accordingly.
Something to respect? Certainly not. But the fact is that most Mormons are conservative, so there is at least some chance, that Romney, while being a very ugly, political animal, has some conservative values that he was willing to compromise for political advancement. Again, something to respect? I certainly don't. But one thing we are certain of is that Obama hates what the U.S. stands for.
Consequently I'll gladly take my chances with Romney. It's not perfect, but our 2 party system leaves us only 2 practical options. The fact is, that if you are eligible to vote and don't vote for Romney, you are doing your part to elect Obama.
You nailed it!
This post is not to change your mind about who you vote for this November. That's your choice.
What I've had it with is the suggestion that the SCOTUS nominees that would come from a President Romney would be no better than that which would come from the Kenyan Marxist.
C'mon man! Doesn't FR have more intellectual integrity than that? Yea, Romney's past sucks, but his SCOTUS Judicial Advisors are Bork and Glendon ...0bama's is Holder ...
Romney Picks Pro-Life Conservatives as Top Judicial Advisors
;^)
One might take some advice from them, but with their records of election , the smart man does not take political advice from them.
Who is more wise and to whose opinion should I lend more weight with regards to political reasoning?.....
The real question for Mr. MindBender26 is how many elected offices he's held?
The second question is, if only elected officials are capable of giving good political advice, then why did former Presidents rely on unelected political advisers to help them win their elections? (Lee Atwater, James Carville, Karl Rove, etc.)
Voting for Romney is high risk, but conservatives have little choice. If Romney wins, Obama’s agenda stops. If he loses, then you know exactly the horrors that he will foist upon America. If Romney turns out to be another George H.W. Bush, then he may be better in the short term than Obama, but he will ensure at least 8 years by a Democrat successor. And if Romney appoints “moderates”, which is a euphemism for mid-left Democrats. then you will have 16 consecutive years of liberal judicial appointments instead of 8. The question all of you will have to answer (I don’t get a vote) is whether 4 more years of Obama followed by 8 years with a conservative Republican President is a better option than 4 years with the reincarnation of GHWB and another two-term Democrat. Either of those options is more likely than for Romney to suddenly reveal himself as a true conservative.
Whatever, dude.
I'd bet, if JimRob did a poll, you folks would be 20% or less
I disagree conservatives have many choices.
If we’re such a small group, then why do we live rent-free in so many Freepers’ heads?
