Here is your proof:
When McCain was fighting Obama for his political life,
TIME OUT: who are you trying to kid? McCain never "fought 0bama for his political life", McCain went out of his way to praise 0bama, to state that "America did not need to fear an 0bama Administration" (remember that choice quote?), and McStain all but threw the damn election and we all know it. He wanted to be the nominee, but he didn't care if he was elected President or not. If McCain had fought 0bama as hard as he has fought conservatives within the GOP all his miserable life, he would be President right now. So don't hand me or anybody else that crap about McCain "fighting for his political life", ok? That dog won't hunt.
Pubbie listed endless reasons to NOT vote for McCain, but never a word on his FR home page about Obama. See post #117 for verification. That is HIS FR home page.
You seem to have launched your own personal jihad against SoConPubbie, based on what is on his FR home page. The only thing I see on his page are good, solid reasons for any conservative with common sense NOT to vote for the King of RINOs, John McLame. You're going to condemn SoConPubbie because he didn't mention 0bama on his FR page?
Do you realize how insane that sounds? Give your head a shake.
Now, Romney is trying to beat Obama, and Pubbie is all anti Romney... but not a word about Obama.....
SoConPubbie doesn't have to say a damn word about 0bama, we all know the sonuvabitch is a Communistic douchebag. But conservatives are not obligated to automatically vote for the GOP's annointed socialistic douchebag, contrary to what you seem to think.
See any similarities here? 2008-2012?
I see consistency. SoConPubbie was conservative in 2008, and they are conservative now. In your case, I see your consistency in being a rubber stamp for whoever the GOP-e sends up the flagpole to salute, both in 2008 and this year, 2012. That's your choice. But don't condemn SoConPubbie or anyone else for not hopping on board the SS Romney.
When it walks like a duck....
I don't know about ducks, but I know that you're sounding more and more 'quackers' with every post. Now the fact is, your so-called 'proof' is no proof at all. The only thing SoConPubbie has done is to list the infinite number of reasons why a conservative would NOT want to vote for that liberal, 'Rat lovin' John McCain.
You are proceeding under the false logic that if someone did NOT support McCain in 2008, that means they automatically supported 0bama, and that is a g*ddamned lie, and liars go to Hell, ok?
You produce some posts where SoConPubbie hinted, suggested or openly advocated that conservatives should vote for 0bama, otherwise you need to abandon this jihad against a fellow FReeper before you further embarrass yourself.

“a Conservative does not spend all ones time criticizing the R, as he does.”
Nobody who aspires to the highest office in this land is above criticism, or should be. And no left-winger should be above criticism from conservatives, even if he has an R next to his name.

I don’t recall Churchill stepping down to put Stalin in charge.
Romney will be the head of our government. He will dismantle things we care about, and implement things Obama likes.
I understand your reasoning and I’m not going to put you down over your choice. As of this moment, I cannot throw my support behind a man I consider to be my political enemy.
When I cast a vote, I am responsible for the man I help put in office and the things he drives through.
There is no way in hell I’m going to take responsibility for Mitt Romney’s actions. He, the GOPe, and all the folks who vote for him, can answer for them.
I won’t vote for Obama for the same reason. Sorry folks, these two are not worthy of my support.

Romney is bad. Obama is much worse. On every subject. Especially the Supreme Court.

One might take some advice from them, but with their records of election , the smart man does not take political advice from them. How many elected offices have you held?

I dont recall Churchill stepping down to put Stalin in charge. He let Stalin control the Western front and along with Eisenhower, chose to let Stalin take Berlin (because he knew it would be a brutal fight and would rather Stalin lose his guys).
There really isn't another choice. We are in the foxhole, the choice is to attack one direction or the other, or just sit in the foxhole. Do the rest of us a favor though, when we are jumping out of that foxhole to go after Obama, if you choose to just sit there, do you mind not tripping us on the way out.

And when you make assumptions.........
Romney did make liberal appointments to his court, apparently you are hoping he will change if he becomes president.
The actual choice is been liberal D and liberal R.

If we’re not going to right the ship of state, then why bother pretending it makes any difference who is elected this fall?
Look, I understand letting the Russians take control of the Eastern front, but are you prepared to allow the Left to plunge us into a fifty year night-time, like Eastern Europe and the Soviet satellite state endured?
Keep in mind, Romney is a LEFTIST. Is he going to further the ideals of Conservatives? No. He is a Leftist.

For several months I’ve watched people on this site say, “I’ll never vote for Romney; for me it’s Newt, Santorum, or Cain, or Perry, etc.”
Okay, all four and more of these candidates have endorsed Romney. I guess that means your choice was a stupid one back then, right??
I will not sit at home and allow our nation to be dragged down by 0bama. Romney wouldn’t be my first choice, but that’s who’s coming to the dance. I didn’t vote for him in the primary either, but I will if he takes the nomination. If you stay home, don’t complain.

If you stay home, dont complain. Who is staying home?

Therefore, to protect the Urban Feral habitats, we Must elect Romney. It's the highest insult, in a free country, to tell me who I "must" vote for.

I'll bet you think you have a winning argument there. Right?
Let me explain something to you. I could not support a man like Perry. I couldn't support Newt. I did support Cain, because I hoped he would flesh out to be more than what I saw him as early on. I did like what I saw early on, but I longed for more. I didn't get more. As for Santorum, I wasn't comfortable with a number of things he had done too, but he wasn't as bad as Romney.
Now everyone has been eliminated down to the last worst man, and all you have to say is that the flawed people I preferred have now confirmed my early suspicions about them, so I should capitulate and vote for the worst man running on our side.
You make a very powerful argument for me to stick with my decision. Thank you.

You are being given two cups and told you must drink from one for fear of the other. Will there be only these two presidential candidates on the ballot?
If not, then the entire premise of your post is false.

How do you know that, Romney left MA in a mess.
Why do you think he is capable of “by virtue” bring us out of a depression?
